I liked the punniness of many of these, so if I may be permitted to add my favourite perplexing question ever:

Why do African elephants have big ears?

I think it is a reference to some things found in children's books by Enid Blyton, a well-known British author but not as well known here.

A member of GameBoomers (lakerz) had some of the computer games based upon these books up for sale on eBay this past month, links listed in the Trading Post forum post here.

Yep, thats it Marian. I should have thought about Noddy perhaps not being universal. Blyton's books were everwhere here as a child.

Hard to understand why Enid Blyton did not seem to become a household name in America. I read tons of books when I was a kid and so did my children, many from across the pond, yet did not really become aware of this author until I found the computer games. Good to know that she was very well known down under as well. smile
