I'll take that coffee, and make it a double.
We're expecting a call from the physiotherapist today, so I'm stuck here for now. Too bad - I need groceries and general supplies, and it would be a lovely day for a drive down to Costco.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Dentist this morning. Such fun. I don't mind it though if it helps me keep my teeth healthy! Supposedly healthy teeth and gums is also part of a healthy heart.

Hello everyone: I've been so busy with doc appts that all I want to do is play. Have a few more to schedule and putting them off, so tired of moving my life around them. Had small eye procedure to remove some cataract regrowth on my right eye. It was tough. There was a lot of it and I had a really hard time keeping my eye in place cause of the darn light. Took quite an effort to hold myself still; grabbed and held on to side of the table where the machine was placed. When I was directed to look 'down', my other eye closed and found myself concentrating on the reflection of a red light that my other eye was supposed to focus on. As long as I could kept my brain away from the white light it was tolerable. She gave my eye a rest then kept asking me about any new 'floaters'. At the time, I didn't notice anything. Have recall in a couple weeks. She may have to do a bit more. At least now I know what to expect. Had a bunch of errands I was going to do this week but 90 deg weather is a turn off. Cooler weather is coming in next couple weeks, so can get them done then. My 50th high school reunion is coming in September so been checking in on Classmates.com to see who's coming and if I recognized anyone. Ordered a yearbook so I can start 'studying'; familiarizing myself with names and faces. Weird thing is that a few classmates whose names I do remember weren't even part of my graduating class. The person who was my maid of honor and very close friend for many years isn't on the graduating list. Shocked me. Also recognized name of a guy I dated a few times. We split up because were of 2 different faiths. His Jewish parents didn't want him with a Catholic girl. Then realized he wasn't with my graduating class either. I forgot that just cause I knew them didn't mean they were in the same year. Looking at the amount times my pic is in yearbook, and forgot I did those things! Celebration will take place at a restaurant in a nearby suburb; possibly get a tour of the hs the day before. The only other reunion I went to was the tenth. Mostly remember some of the guys complimenting me for having contact lenses instead of the cat's eye glasses. I didn't say anything but I found it funny that the black males who had had a full headed afros were all half bald.
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

Butterflybabe, we kind of went through that a couple of months ago with doctor appts! I think we are done for the time being. Know the feeling, it's time to do some gaming. Glad the eye procedure is over - doen't sound like much fun!

Hi guys, I cannot believe how busy I have been lately! Every day I think "Okay, this one will be quiet", but so NOT! And as daughter is dropping off 2 dogs this weekend for some family kennel time, it's not about to get quieter. Oh well....

Connie, I'm glad to hear you're okay.
Bagels sound good. We can't get decent bagels here. When I was at York University I was introduced to the Montreal-style bagel, with cream cheese of course. I miss having a nice, chewy bagel in the morning.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

They are actually easy to make - just one extra step. You boil them before you bake them which gives them that chewy texture!

They are actually easy to make - just one extra step. You boil them before you bake them which gives them that chewy texture! I've gotten far too lazy to make bread! Even my sourdough starter, which I nurtured for years, died on me. These days eggs and a salad are about all I can manage, or a takeout Indian or Thai.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Yeah, I don't do it any more either - I'd be twice as fat as I already am!
