Winfrey, I'm glad the situation with 8ball is manageable.

We are in Heat Index triple digits for the rest of the week and the weatherman just said we will probably see some actual triple digits as well. So heat advisory is firmly in place.

I've been up forever today...sleep was not a happening thing last night. Oh well, that just means more hours in the day to get things done!

Hope you all have a wonderful day

I'd go for some orange squash.

Don't have to wait until morning ... it's a citrus juice drink I came across in Great Britain while on a business trip ... I've also seen it more and more in the hotels here in the states ... think of juice squeezed from lemons, oranges, and such ... I'll let one of our UK folks handle the details ... there are probably many recipes

My first thought was yellow squash or zucchini squash all mushed up!

Good morning puppy

Hot, humid, ikky! But at least the sky is beautiful and blue an sunny and thank the dear Lord, we have working AC.

Will be exercising inside today. For sure, my dad did not pass down the "heat, what heat?" gene to me.

I hope you all have the most wonderful, fantastic day! wavegirl

Greetings to all those in the break room today.

You folks across the pond may be familiar with lime juice cordial: fruit squash is along similar lines, a fruit flavoured concentrate to which which water is added to make a refreshing drink (much as described by soot), but nowhere nearly as tasty as fresh lemonade.

Not normally part of an English breakfast, which might include freshly squeezed orange juice.

Personally, I tend to mix fresh orange juice with a little grapefruit juice, then diluting that with water to provide hydration to accompany the strong coffee which I need to kick start my day! catrub

Ugh. We're in the midst of another nasty heat wave.

Got the quote for central air. Expensive, but it's a high-tech, high-efficiency heat pump system that will both heat and cool the entire house, replacing our old gas furnace. I have to go and have a listen to one that's been installed in a new townhouse development to make sure it's quiet enough not to bug the neighbours, but I've been assured that it's the quietest one on the market.

And make sure you are OK with the heat pump part of it for winter. I know they have come leaps and bounds since the one I installed many years ago, but I hated it because it blew out room temperature air making it feel a lot colder.

Good morning boomies! To say life has been chaotic is putting it mildly. I've had non stop boarders, anywhere from 5 to 2 pups at a time for over two weeks and one is sick, every hour on the hour, day and night. I'm so tired I don't know whether to laugh or cry. lol
This too shall pass. Sunday night will be no boarders Till Thursday. I need a few days to get caught up with everything else!

And I thought I was burning the candle at both ends! You're burning it in the middle too! Glad to hear things will ease up for a few days anyway.
