High voltage. Yum. I like coffee that grabs you by the shoulders and slaps you across the face a few times just to make sure you're awake.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I feel your pain. My vet tech friend suggested the "kitty burrito" method. If you can pick up kitty or snatch her up and wrap her tightly in a bath towel, you can get her in the carrier.

Hope ya'll are all having a great day! Woke up with a very owie shoulder so sitting in the bed with a heating pad on my shoulder on this heat advisory day Ugh. We also have a heat warning from today until Sunday. It went up to 100 degrees here today, and it's supposed to get worse. We NEVER have temperatures this high, and now twice in one summer.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I think I'll pass on the "maple bacon" coffee, soot!
Hagatha, that's just horrible. It's been so dreadfully hot here too, but we're more or less used to it and we all have central air conditioning. Can't imagine how awful it is for you.
Made two 1-gallon batches of fresh salsa yesterday and am letting the ingredients "talk to each other" overnight. Dropping one off at the American Legion and dropping the other off at Elmer's Tavern. Then we're going to walk down to the Mexican restaurant for supper. Had a storm last night, so at least the temps are cooler.
It's spring. My life is weeds.

So glad the cat made it to the vet. My previous girl used to get urinary tract infections all the time when she got old and it was really painful for her. We must have taken her to the vet five or six times in her last year, just for that.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I don't need a pound of IT though. There was blood in her urine, at least at times, so please keep your fingers crossed. Oh Drac - you probably meant was there blood involved in getting her in the taxi. No, I don't think so. It went semi smoothly I think. Hagatha, I am hoping it is an infection and can be cured.

Yes, since I have had a couple of those cats! It never mattered if I got clawed before, but now that I am on a blood thinner, it's a major bleed!
Hopefully a round of antibiotics will fix her up. One of my 4 year old barn cats also had crystals in her urine, so she is now on a cat food that costs $35 for 6 pounds! I recently had to put her sister down because she had a huge bladder stone probably from the same crystals. But Voldemort - yes she was a girl! - couldn't be caught, so I was never able to get her treated until the last couple of weeks.

She survived her trip! Now if my brother can only get the medicine in her twice a day for seven days and then she is supposed to go back in two weeks. I am so relieved that he got her there.

So we got the results of John's latest MRI today. The cancer has basically not grown much in over a year. The real issue we're facing is pain management -- he's frequently in very bad pain -- so our doctor is going to try some other options. It's too bad the cancer stopped growing after quality-of-life issues became a problem, but at least if we can get the pain down to a more manageable level we can start to do stuff again. He is able to walk with just a cane now, which is great because I was getting concerned.
Yesterday a pod of about 7 Orca went past, including a young one, and today we saw a mother Humpback and her baby just offshore.
