Hi everyone; I wrote to BF in early June about not having any walkthroughs for SE's at all since the start of 2021. There answer was; "Although we don't have any specific information in Customer Support, the walkthroughs have not been cancelled. While we apologize that there haven't been any walkthroughs for the recent Standard version games, I'll make sure this feedback is sent along to the games designers and hopefully they'll take this into consideration for future upgrades to the game". I'm not sure how this works but don't they just copy from the strategy guide to make the walkthroughs? I've been waiting since they answered my request & nothing has changed.

That sounds like this person at Customer Support has been working there for about one day and has absolutely no idea what's going on. First of all, it is not the game designers who do the walkthroughs; they have nothing to do with it. This has nothing to do with an upgrade either. I am sure this customer rep meant well, but sheesh.

And yes, all it involved was removing the bonus game from the strategy guide and then posting the remainder of the walkthrough.

Anyway, that answer you received is completely nonsensical. Customer Support has greatly improved the last few months in regards to getting replies from an actual person, but you are right to question the answer you were given.

It's funny you mention this because recently I have been wondering why I waste my money on CE's when I mostly buy them for the Guide, however, the last couple of times I've tried to use an in-game guide, I have found it useless to me. First of all it is very hard to find where I'm at in the guide, then when I do, it usually doesn't show me what I need to know anyway and I end up skipping the puzzle in question. Yesterday I was looking for a particular puzzle in the guide of Living Legends: Voice of the Sea and I believe it is non-existent in the guide. I had to find a video walkthrough to see it. Very frustrating!

Do you remember what puzzle it was and where it was in the game, oldbroad? I am curious because I have that particular CE. I would like to look over the guide. Hard to believe that the puzzle isn't even mentioned. If it is missing, I certainly don't think that it was supposed to be.

I don't look at strategy guides often but when I have, the needed information was always there.

Thanks Marian & oldbroad. I think I'll make a pain in the neck of myself & write them back again. I've nothing else to do LOL. But if this keeps up, I think I'll cancel my membership, good hop adventure game have been few & far between.

I believe it was Chapter 2 and it is a word puzzle where there's a book with double lines of words. You choose one word from each double line (the top or bottom word) to create a sentence. It's possible I just didn't see it because as I stated, I have a very hard time finding where I'm at in those guides and maybe they showed it later than where I was looking but it didn't seem like it should have been further along. I did not look further though. I just got frustrated. mad

There was some other one fairly recently but I don't remember the game or the puzzle. I found the puzzle but it still didn't make any sense to me at all.

Sure, why not write to them again, judith? I would. yes

Oldbroad, thanks for the info. I will take a look when I play the game.

Well Marian, the puzzle is in the guide. I found it today. It is not that hard of a puzzle but I did not readily know the answer and was unable to click out of the puzzle. I wasn't sure if I should quit the game while the puzzle was open which is why I went to the guide. I did end up quitting while the puzzle was open and when I went back in the game the puzzle was still open. I had already watched the video walkthrough though instead of trying it again myself.

Did you try looking for them through a Google search? Sometimes I am able to access them that way. What is the title of one that you were looking for?

Jenny, bless her heart, posted this link here last year. I suspect you will be able to find your walkthroughs if you use this link. I looked for Mystery Murders: The Sleeping Palace in the M's and the walkthrough came up.

I would bookmark that link if I were you, as it is an archived website and not all that easy to find.
