This is not my day! New problem - Windows 7.

I went into Next Life hoping to finish it tonight. No sound. Got out of the game. No sound in Solitaire either (my easiest way to check). Looked in the Device Manager and found a yellow exclamation point next to Teredo Tunneling Psuedo Interface - This device cannot start (code 10). Decided to restart my computer before attempting driver update or uninstall/reinstall. The computer is on but now my monitor is dark. ???

Before I go trying to find my old monitor and deal with connections to see if all of a sudden my monitor doesn't work, can you tell me whether that is worth doing? I thought this was a Sound issue but maybe it is something totally different?

Actually, the monitor itself seems to be fine. I shut it off and turned it back on and it flashes the usual stuff and then says it is not receiving a signal. And now I have it rebooting again, somehow, with the screen on.

Wow, you are on a roll! All I can find on that Interface missing error is to do a System Restore or to get into the Registry to do some twiddling. I essentially is a Network communications system.

Have you tried unplugging the cable from whatever video you're using from the computer to the monitor and plugging it back in?

I found this which addresses the exact error, but if you don't have any video to the monitor, I'm not sure what to do except to try booting into Safe Mode.

Anyway, rebooting worked and the sound is back. I don't know what I had done that the monitor wasn't connecting but it seems fine now. I'll have to see what happens tomorrow. Since my sound came back, I did not fiddle with anything. I will wait on that also to see what happens.

At least I got to finish my game!

I'm glad it's back and OK, but man! That was a wee bit strange! Just curious if you've looked in your Device Manager again to see if that yellow exclamation mark is there?

That would be my advice too. Better not to go there unless it has been identified as actually causing a problem.

Oh, believe me, I intend to ignore it if the computer works as it should. I'll see what happens when I turn it on today. I was tempted to just leave it on forever but I'll give it a chance.
