I have only played the demo but I thought the game was quite good, very much like an old-school adventure game. To exit the game, you hit the escape button. This is also where you save the game.

GameBoomer Mad is playing the game right now. Pretty much everything you click on, there is a description of some kind, so you need to enjoy reading. I have been playing adventure games since the 1980s and have a liking for such things. However, if you don't enjoy old-school point and click adventures, you probably will not like this game all that much. It does require more patience on the part of the player.

The first six or so player reviews on the Big Fish download page for the game do a good job of describing it.

I played quite a way into Goosebumps and like the game itself but got very fed up with the "one save" system - so have shelved it for a while and started something else, which I've named on the "Playing Now" Casuals Board whistle

Mad, what exactly is wrong with the "one save" system? I mean, I like multiple saves and save when I want to, but is this causing you to have to replay stuff or what?

I have tended to use my one save quite a lot but of course that limits what I can re-play to progress further.

Then on reading more about the game I discovered you might have to play it multiple times to get the best results - which is not how I like to play.

So I have moved on, for now, anyway 🙄

I guess I'm still not understanding. Can you dead end in the game? With a casual game it saves and you move on from there with no problem UNLESS of course the game glitches on you, but you don't dead end. I'm not sure if I'm asking the question right.

I understand your meaning perfectly, ob. That was my thought too - it saves the same way that a HOPA does.

it is the save, everytime you exit, you have to save.

You can MANUALLY save at ANY time during the game - but each save overwrites the previous one.
So not quite the same as a regular HOPA.

You can also "die" but if you do you are given the option to re-play from your last save.

I just meant that it was like a HOPA in that there was only one save possible during the game. I will probably play the entire game at some point and then will find out what if any difference this makes to me.

By saving often there is not as much re-play required should you die.
But that short re-play made available by saving often can obviously cause problems in other ways.
Tricky !! lol

I will no doubt have another stab at this game myself, sometime, Marian.
But if you play before I do Good Luck and Enjoy Yourself yes

I don't have the game so I don't know for sure, but I would be surprised if you could not start a new game.
