This is a charming, soothing, warm and cuddly kind of point and click happiness.

I am about 30 minutes in so it's early days, but it brings to mind all the excellent things about things like Machinarium, but in a flora and fauna sort of way. Beautifully drawn, it's a "2D point-and-click adventure about a robot saving her home from a dark crystalline force. Set upon a biopunk space station, you play as Nara, a growbot in training to become a captain. When your station home is attacked by rapidly growing crystals, it's down to you to save it."

I have pushed things and fiddled with things and made some things grow and put a guinea-pig type critter inside the plastic dome that is my head. No spoken word, but lots of elegant sounds, and all sorts of things to collect and use and ponder.

I feel compelled to mention there have been two music note puzzles so far and I expect there are more to come. Nothing to date has been terribly difficult.

Save at will, point and click all the way, it's already an utter delight.

Thanks flotsam! It's been on my GOG wishlist. Actually, it's on my Steam wishlist also which is where I'll probably get it, as they have it in some bundles and I'll get a better discount.

Thanks Drac!

I have to say, I needed a desperate break and made time to game the last few days and I've been playing this game. I love it! Some of the music puzzles are a little hard for me, but I've figured them all out. I am right at the end now and loving every minute.

Thanks so much for the first look flotsam and Drac!

Many thanks: delighted to find it will run on a Mac and just bought it together with an earlier one from the same company LUNA The Shadow Dust (which I see that flotsam also reviewed), sold as a discounted Cuteness Bundle! catrub

Since it's a cold rainy fall day here, this seemed like just the game to play! Downloaded it the morning and although I'm not very far, it is just what I needed to chase away the gloom!

Lex, LUNA The Shadow Dust was an absolutely fantastic game. Growbot has a few challenging puzzles towards the end that are making me pull my hair out, but I'll get it!

Drac, enjoy! chilly and rainy here too!

I'm still stuck at one puzzle at the end, partially because the directions were not properly given so I was forced to check a video WT. I'm still struggling with it, but I'll get it. It requires a little speed which is easily attainable IF you know where you need to go. Otherwise you will find yourself starting over repeatedly. I do wish there was a skip feature for it.

Good luck Ana! I hate when a good game gets a bit ruined at the end by a puzzle. witch

Thanks, flotsam and Draclvr!
I have also reviewed this game (in Russian): https://itc.ua/articles/growbot-ili-iz-zhizni-czvetochnyh-robotov-devochek/
Although my colleague from Questzone.ru has been much more critical of this game in his review: http://questzone.ru/reviews/growbot.php

Thanks for the review, Iurii! Boy, your colleague REALLY didn't like this game!

Thanks, Iurii! I finished last night and my views lie somewhere between yours and your colleagues (
maybe swayed a little more towards yours).
