I am buying a new computer, and am considering using a KVM switch with both the new one and the old one. In addition to switching the KVM, I would also want to switch speakers. Anybody using one? Any recommendations.

I used to use a KVM switch with my computers, but it's been so many years, I've not kept up with any of this kind of hardware. There are several places that rate them. I assume you mean you want to use the same speakers, keyboard, mouse and monitor between the two computers? Some of these may or may not have speaker capability.

I'm still using the KVM switch I bought MANY years ago. It is a Belkin and was quite expensive but it enables the switching of monitor, speakers, mouse and keyboard for up to 4 computers.
( Although as I can only fit 3 computers on my table I am only using 3 of the ports laugh )

If one of your computers has Win10 just make sure to source a KVM that can deal with any screen resolution differences you might choose to use on your machines.

Apart from that any "quality" KVM should serve you well.

I believe my old KVM was a Belkin too.

Thanks for the links. With the help of those and a few others I finally got one. It's a IOGear GCS1102. It does what I was looking for, I'm satisfied.

Thanks for all the help.
