Just curious, since I see more people replaying old games than playing new ones, what games of the list found towards the bottom of this page HERE did you play.

If there are games I missed that were not added to the list that were released please feel free to post them! Try as I might, I do miss some!

Happy Holidays!
Ana

The only game I played on that list is Quarantine Diary, Ana. I do have the Kathy Rain Director's Cut waiting in the wings. My computer does not meet the system requirements of some of the other new releases that would have interested me this year. Therefore most of my adventure gaming was indeed spent on older games as well as games from other genres (such as Titan Quest and Quest for Glory). wave

I played Nemezis, Detective from the Crypt, Strangeland, Quarantine Diary, and The Corruption Within (which you might be missing unless I missed seeing it). I enjoyed every one of them! I also purchased a good number of the other games. And I played several older games for the first time and enjoyed those also.

The only one from the list I've finished is Conway: Disappearance at Dahlia View. I would gladly have given it an A+ grade if it hadn't been the buggiest game I've played in years.

Thanks, oldbroad! It was in the upcoming games list above. I moved to the June released section!

I bought a few ....

Played :

Kathy Rain : Director's Cut

The Wild Case

Carol Reed : Quarantine Diary

Still playing :

Saint Kotar

Not yet started :

Riddle of the Sphinx: The Awakening (Enhanced Edition)

[A lot of the games being released are just of too sombre a note for me - or cover subjects I personally don't look for in Adventure games.]

Mad: I've totally missed The Wild Case. It looks like a game for me. Old school, but not with MS-DOS graphics. Did you like it?

I've also been replaying older games, but these are the 2021 games I've played:

Quarantine Diary
Encodya
A Painter's Tale: Curon 1950
Strangeland
Papetura
Ultreia

If we can extend the 2021 date by a couple of weeks, I also am currently playing Call of the Sea.
I had hoped to play Harold Halibut, Dustborn and Syberia 4 this past year, but will be looking forward to playing those games in 2022 (along with the new Carol Reed on Jan. 2).

I point, therefore I click.

Hi Mikael.
Yes. I did enjoy The Wild Case.
Not an absolutely "fantastic" experience (for me, anyway) but I am old and no doubt jaded beyond words by now !!
Cheers. Mad wink

Thank you Mad. I may try that one after I've finished Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. I'm thoroughly impressed this far.

There's a demo of The Wild Case on itch.io. I'm like Mad, the demo was ok, but not anything to write home about, as the old idiom says.

Mikael, the reviews for Vertigo seem quite good thus far. Glad to hear you are liking it!

I've finished Vertigo now. The game was fantastic, with a screenplay that could easily be used for a Hollywood movie. The only reservation one might have is that the game was more of an interactive movie than a traditional game. That suits me just fine, but it might put off some other players. Also, the game is not for the squeamish. It has no severe graphic violence, but some of the actions performed in the game are very unpleasant (you occasionally play as the culprit). The loading times are massive, so if you're on an older computer, you should wait until you've updated it (and the game has gone on sale!).

I'm just starting The Wild Case now.

Thank you so much for your comments on Vertigo, Mikael. I will wait until I have a better video card and I will also wait for a sale.
