Is it because of Flash Player? Mine works fine, so I am thinking that's probably what it is. Family, DinerTown Detective Agency is on Steam here. However, I see people complaining that the game does not work properly without Flash Player, so be warned. I still haven't tried Lightspark as a substitute for Flash Player, but it might just work for these issues. I haven't had any need for it and therefore haven't tried it yet.

I never thought the game was released on a CD, but I did find this compilation pack here. The game is included. The Ultimate Seek & Find Collection includes 6 exciting hidden object adventure games Avenue Flo, DinerTown Detective Agency, Valerie Porter and the Scarlet Scandal, The NightShift Code, NightShift Legacy: The Jaguar's Eye, Emerald City Confidential, and bonus game: The Mystery of Shark Island!] Valerie Porter is another Playfirst game which I have in my Purchase History. Avenue Flo is another good one. There were two Avenue Flo games and they are both entertaining. Anyway, good to know that Emerald City Confidential was released on a CD. I do not think it was ever released on a CD all by itself. I used to spend a lot of time on eBay and I never saw one at least.

I bought a disk version of Emerald City Confidential many, many years ago and played it twice but a long time afterwards, to my surprise, it suddenly appeared in my Purchase History at Big Fish !! How or why I don't know. (But I've never downloaded or played THAT version.) The same thing happened with The Hound of the Baskervilles which I originally bought direct from Frogwares. IT also suddenly appeared in my Big Fish games history some time later.

" Mad, that is odd. I have a few CD versions of Big Fish games and they never appeared in my Purchase History after installing them." I have never understood it either, Marian !!

It takes time for those old outdated links to go away. It is not Big Fish's fault that the Playfirst games are gone; as I recall this was a decision of Playfirst. This also happened with old Sandlot games like Cake Mania and the Westward series, which were all great games.
