I just noticed that development has restarted on Shadows on the Vatican. I played the first two chapters quite a while ago and I enjoyed the game play, story and the art style. Additional chapters were planned, but after hearing nothing about the game for years I assumed development had stopped. Yesterday I saw a notice about a free Chapter II soundtrack download on Steam for game owners. Their website says Chapter III is in production and Chapter IV is in pre-production. There is also an interactive short story called Nightengale that I was unaware of. I'm very much looking forward to the release of the next two chapters and I've started replaying Chapter II.

Thanks ergggo. Ana did do an announcement for Nightingale last year but I don't know if there's been any updates on Chapter III since then?

It looks like they are working on getting the next 2 chapters out. Been a long wait for you. Chapter 2 had released in 2015. "Shadows on the Vatican: Nightingale is independent and self-contained, but should ideally be played after Shadows on the Vatican - Act II: Wrath." Released in 2021 Nightingale is on sale along with Chapter 1 & 2 until June 6. Enjoy!
