Check out the teaser trailer here.Check out the official website here.Naples, Italy – July 27, 2022 To celebrate the first anniversary of its spinoff prequel Shadows on the Vatican: Nightingale, Italian developer Daring Touch is pleased to announce Shadows on the Vatican – Act III: Sloth, the highly anticipated next full installment of their classic-styled point-and-click adventure series coming to PC on Steam in 2023.
Corruption dwells in the darkness at the highest levels of the Catholic Church, as a small but powerful cabal is covertly pulling the strings behind the most pivotal aspects of Italian society. In the penultimate act of Daring Touch’s four-part religious conspiracy thriller in Italy, ex-priest James Murphy and a paid assassin named Silvia must put aside their differences and join forces to expose the “Suits” before becoming their latest victims.
Shadows on the Vatican is a story of intrigue inspired by true events and freely adapted from In God's Name, the bestselling nonfiction novel by David Yallop. Alternating control between James and Silvia, players will explore a variety of beautifully illustrated locations across Rome, which look better than ever thanks to completely restyled hand-drawn graphics and redesigned animations.
The unlikely heroes will once again meet a cast of colorful characters and solve a series of challenging but intuitive puzzles to progress, with danger never far away. James must also confront his own demons from the past, and grapple with how to handle the mysterious stranger who may just know his inscrutable young companion's deepest secrets. Through many twists and turns, the relationship between the American doctor and the impetuous mercenary evolves into something neither of them could ever have imagined.

In Act I: Greed, American doctor James Murphy returns to the scene of his former priesthood in Italy. His plans for a peaceful vacation are disrupted when an old friend is injured and falls into a coma before sharing an important discovery about the Vatican. Believing his friend to have been purposely targeted, James decides to follow in his footsteps and complete the investigation through the clues he left behind. In Act II: Wrath, the enigmatic Silvia is hired to kill the inquisitive American before he’s able to fully uncover the truth. The mission ends in failure, however, leaving Silvia herself the target of her employers’ new contract. Reluctantly joining forces with her former mark, Silvia must follow the complex chain of command to the top, and together the two uncover evidence of a ruthlessly influential secret lodge whose leader may just have links to James’s past.
The interactive short story Nightingale is a choice-driven prequel about a blogger with a knack for crime-solving and a mysterious ability that grants her a special connection with those who are suffering. Under the anonymous alias “The Nightingale,” young Elisa Flavi once used her talent to help a trained assassin, who has now returned with threats of violence if Elisa doesn’t shut down her blog forever – and with it the chance to help more people in need.
Happy Gaming!
