I would like to play adventure games that have puzzles (as opposed to tasks).
Do you have a favorite game that you like to play?

I like "Safecracker". I've played it 3 times and is one of the very few games I have played more than once. I think it is classed as an adventure game rather than a casual game though I could be wrong on this.

I'm currently replaying Safecracker also.

Gorogoa was a nice little puzzle game.

An adventure game with good puzzles, not tasks, is Call of the Sea (in my opinion).

It seems like a lot of the games coming out lately are puzzle based though I haven't played many of them to confirm that.

Shivers, my number-one puzzle game hands down. Available on GOG. A perfect game for this time of year, too! wave

Any of the Haiku Adventure Escape games are chock full of puzzles. There are a lot of games to work through and they are all free, with the caveat that you can buy stars to skip a puzzle or get a hint.

Yes, Shivers was a good one. I also liked the sequel, Harvest of Souls, although I'm not sure that anybody else did.

I've still never played either of the Shivers games but have them on disc and from GOG blush.

Reading this I realised I had never played either of the shivers games and went into GOG to buy them. I couldn't get past the sign in. No matter what gobbledegook I entered as a new user name it said the name was already in use.
I remembered I had tried once before to buy something on Gog and ended up getting it on steam instead because the same thing happened.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

That's kind of odd. You said you couldn't get past the "sign in." Do you already have an account there? You can't sign in if you don't have an account set up. There should be an option to create an account. You create the account with your email address and can then assign a user name later.

Oldbroad, you are in for a real treat with Shivers. I envy anyone getting to play it for the first time.

I also enjoyed Shivers 2, but it's been so long since I have played it that I would need a replay before I felt I could give it a real assessment.

2022 is coming to an end and I haven't played half of the games I was hoping to play but I will move Shivers closer to the front Marian! wink

Oldbroad, I think you've done great this year with games so far as I can see. But there are still some really good ones waiting to be played. wink

Did you try "forgot my password" to see if they send you a notice that you can access to change it and get in?

Thanks, BeaSong! She can't do that because she is isn't actually trying to sign in - she's trying to create an account. Anyway, we are working on it with meryl over in the Tech forum and GOG is now involved.
