This is supposed to be a backer-only update but I think after all these years, I'm just going to post them. Hello all! Sorry for being a stranger around these parts. It's been quite a busy year for me – seems like the wheels of the planet came back in full swing after the pandemic receded, and in my case that meant a number of trips, along with work, family, and a bunch of exciting developments. There's much going on at the moment and, as I type this, I'm still trying to wrap my head around all that's about to happen next year. So here's a quick, backer-only writeup to address the pressing concerns: Asylum is very much part of our plans for 2023. The game is in a situation in which it can be played fully from A to Z, design-complete. All puzzles have been implemented. One of the last pending issues we had when it comes to game logic was a branching area that wasn't working well – people could play it any order and enable a series of puzzles that were confusing without context. The solution came following a fantastic team effort, and overall design is now set on stone. Anyone can play the game without hints or guidance and understand how to resolve it. But there's still work to do. Current areas of focus needing significant attention are: • Cutscenes • Text revisions • QA For cutscenes, we brought a couple new folks to the team that are solely focusing on this aspect, with the goal to create striking cinematic moments to completement the experience we have in store for you. It's quite something to see these new folks working on some of the final assets that we need, signaling the end of a long journey. Text revisions means we have to consolidate different writing styles, as well as some portions that were drafted or still placeholder content. This one is on me, and soon I'll need to sit down and give it an encompassing final pass to the whole thing. Luckily, I have very talented people working with me along the way. And QA of course, which is another area we'll be reinforcing soon. Our next key milestone will be to start sharing builds with backers, especially to get your feedback. We'll be disclosing our plans on that front, after we run more tests on our end. That's the gist of it, and like I said, I want to keep this update short and focused (although it was mandatory to spice it up with a few videos!). Asylum is very much alive and kicking, and the planning we've done for the project recently has paid off. Senscape as a company has matured a lot during the past year (we're now 30 people!) and I can tell you that 2023 is going to be our breakthrough year. See you soon with more news! –Agustín
Happy Gaming! Ana

Wow...Really!
I thought the game was dead like many others. It seems there is still hope. Sounds like backers will get a chance to play some parts of the game sooner or later. That would be nice. I did not back so I will just have to wait for that year to play, that's if I even care to at the time.
I want to thank you Ana for posting this update being a backer update and all. Those of us who did not back are REALLY kept in the dark

Thanks, BrownEyedTigre. I too received the email Being one of the "backers" myself, another update was very welcome. But a concrete release date is what we are all really waiting for - and have been now for a very long time

I guess we've all been here before many times with a positive update over the many, many years. So I don't get too excited.

I'm a backer and used to get email updates, but for some reason I don't anymore. I checked my spam folder too but no luck. Huh.
