Hagatha, I know I have some arthritis in my left thumb... thankfully NOT my right thumb which is my mouse hand. Witcher 3 will ALWAYS win over all obstacles!

All my other labs are perfect, so guess I will live to see another day!

SO very hot here heading for 100 degrees F the next few days. I will be out in my hot garage making and canning spaghetti and chili sauce today. The tomatoes just don't survive long in this heat. Hubby helped me pick yesterday and when we came out of the tomato forest, we headed straight for the pool! I had to peel my clothes off!

Good morning, all! Same here, Gerry - except the forecast real temp is 102 degrees. Can't imagine what the feel-like temp will be! I got a plea for help at Longmeadow, the horse rescue, yesterday afternoon. The caretaker who lives there broke his ankle and won't be able to do the night closing for at least 5 - 6 weeks. Since I live less than a mile from the Ranch, it's so easy for me to run down at 9:00 and feed and check on everyone. So, I'm down there last night and the temp was STILL 94 degrees at 10:00!

Down to the last 3 days for the Germans. We are doing our traditional steaks for supper tonight.

It's Friday! Here comes the weekend!

Draclvr thank goodness the horse rescue has you to depend on! You are the most giving person! Enjoy the rest of you visit with your German friends...dinner sounds delicious!

Good morning! I'll read your missives later, Lex - they are always a hoot! We had a cold front move in and it's only going to be 95 degrees F today! But I'm heading out to the garage work up two big tables of tomatoes into pizza and maybe spaghetti sauce.

I took a quick drive down to the new place this morning to make sure I have my route planned exactly since I'll have two howling cats. On my whirlwind tour with with my realtor I wasn't really noticing how very rural the area is -- it's a ten-minute drive through farmland off the highway, and then all of a sudden you go up a slope and you're in my neighbourhood, packed with lovely houses and people walking everywhere. On the way in there's what looks like a very nice newish custom-built pub called Rusted Rake Brewing; the reviews for the food are very good and it's 5 minutes from my house. It all feels very strange, though.

hagatha, I can imagine how strange it will be for you AND the cats for some time.

Especially the cats: they are so much more rooted in familiar territory than dogs (which are far more likely to rejoice at exploring new places particularly if accompanied by their humans are present).
