I moved your post over to Glitches. No problems signing in for me.

Maybe try logging in with a different browser and see what happens?

That's strange. Try rebooting your computer first and then try Marian's suggestion to log in with a different browser.

I have used Opera for everything for several years.

Their latest update (they didn't ask ME if it needed "improving") is apparently the source of the problem. Big Fish on Chrome acts normal. On Opera, the 'sign in' option doesn't appear at all, but the aforementioned error message does.

It also has a really annoying new feature: if you highlight something you want to copy, a box pops up suggesting 'copy' (that's fine) but also suggesting 'Explain Briefly' 'Explore Topic' and 'Translate' Just because something clever is possible, does NOT make it a good idea.

Also annoying is an automatic picture-in-picture that only gets in the way without asking for it. What a nuisance!
I suspect the developers are struggling to maintain functionality across very different platforms. I am using an actual computer as I have been before Microsoft was born.
So I just looked at BFG on the phone. It seems to work correctly, not that I would play a game on a 5-inch screen, when I am used to a 40-inch monitor.

Anyway, thanks everybody for listening to me rant.

I'm not a big fan of the "new" page either, but I don't have any of those issues at all! I'm using the Edge browser. When I right click to copy, I get the usual options in Windows. I went there in both Edge and Firefox and the sign in option was at the top. For a long time they let us use the "legacy" page, but guess that option is gone now.

I also use Big Fish on a computer only, but my screen isn't quite THAT big!

Well, at least we know the problem is browser related.

Hi, Tally Ho!

I have three browsers ... Firefox (my primary browser), Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. If I experience a problem logging onto a particular website, I try the other two browsers. If the problem persists, I know it's them and not me lol . I don't like messing around with my browser settings in case I screw something up so, if the problem is resolved by using another browser, I just continue to use that browser on that website. Also, some sites prefer certain browsers and won't function properly unless that's the one you are using.

I do find that Big Fish's website does experience the odd glitch every now and then no matter what browser you use, so I just keep trying until the glitch is fixed.

Susan

I agree, Susie07. Sometimes the best solution is to just try again tomorrow!
