Good morning, Danish, Donuts and Bagels in the Break Room. The Fund Raiser was I big success. When I left at 8:30 we had raised over four thousand dollars. I am now the proud owner of a hand built 8 foot picnic table. Grocery shopping is on the agenda today. Enjoy the day and hug someone.

There's supposed to be a major storm tonight. My neighbourhood is heavily treed and I worry about my car (I traded in for a CRV on Friday). I wish I could use my garage but it's still full of books. Could be wild!

Lots of coffee this morning, then I'm doing absolutely nothing all day.

Wonderful steak dinner with the kids last night. Plus, I sent home a big box of spaghetti, chili and pizza sauces with them! Now I have a little more room on the shelves.

Just gonna be lazy today and I'm looking forward to it. Such a pretty morning for my dark brew!

It's a bit different from the normal Inside Passage cruise we like, this one goes to Victoria then down to Astoria then up to Ketchikan then back down to Seattle then home to Vancouver, I'm getting a bit dizzy with all the ups and downs, and that's not even thinking about the rough waves!

Nothing much on the "menu" for today, soot! I'm pretty much caught up with everything. I would like to work on weeds, but I need some good soaking rain first. And it doesn't look like we have any in the forecast for at least 10 days. We are back to severe drought status here.

Will be so glad to hear from hagatha later today about Dude. Fingers crossed!

So far so good. The surgery is complete with no serious complications. Now it's monitoring for a day or two.

I'm so happy that Dude came through the surgery with no complications. I know animals sense when something is not right, so I wonder if Willow will be protective around Dude?

Dude will be in a kennel but I bet she'll be wanting to see what's what.

The surgeon believes that Dude was born this way and has been lucky to last this long. Anyway, no news is good news, I'm told. He might even come home tomorrow depending on how well he does overnight.
