Hi dianne, first of all, Happy Birthday! There are birthday greetings in the Mixed Bag forum for you to read. Take a look at it when you get the chance.

I moved your post because you are talking about a technical difficulty with Firmament. Did you try reloading a saved game to see if you get the same crash in the same place? Hopefully the techies will be able to give you some additional advice. Sorry this happened.

Hi, dianne. Did you get the game from Steam? I found one discussion where someone had been playing fine for 15 hours and the game crashed. It almost sounds like the same spot you describe. The post is only about 8 months old, so maybe the answer posted can help you. It provides a link to email Cyan support. They want you to grab a DX DIAG report and attach to the report.

Dianne... just out of curiosity how did the game crash? Did it freeze up, did it take you back to the desktop, you are stuck in the pod....what exactly happened??

There have been a number of issues with Juleston according to the Discussions. The last patch released back in July. It might be that none of these patches have addressed your crash issue, one might have.

Here is another link you might want to check out. It States:

Quote
In most cases, ensuring:

- Your machine fits our minimum spec,
- If playing in VR, you are using an officially-supported headset in Firmament (see our store page description for headsets we support),
- Your graphics drivers are up to date, and
- Verifying game file integrity should fix the issue for most.

Further down it states updating the drivers has solved crashes along with other issues. If your drivers are up to date and you are running minimum or better specs then check file integrity. Get back into the game and hopefully you can continue on Dianne. If not contact support

Yes, we know that. Did any of the suggestions we made help?

If you have done everything support asks you to check and are still stuck in the pod, able to move around and manipulate things, check out this video walkthrough. Full screen the video. There are 2 sections to Juleston. Hover your mouse over the broken/sectioned video scroll bar to see their titles. Scroll to 1:24:13. This guy here could not get the doors to close first try. He makes a comment, "you gotta hit the right option", and off he went to Juleston. This might not be the place you crashed but you should be able to find it

1:17:00 min into the video you take a ride on a, I guess a pod, to a reservoir right before you head to Juleston. Could this be the pod you are getting stuck in? Wherever the game crashed scroll the video back to an earlier time just to make sure you have made the right moves before entering the pod. "You have to do things in the right order"

I hope you get this crash sorted Dianne so you can move on with the game. You were really enjoying Firmament. Don't give up on it. If support's recommendations on what you should check and do first does not stop the game from crashing definitely contact them

Dianne, you should be able to connect your old printer to the new computer. Let us know if you need help with it!
