website here.8th, August 2024, Edinburgh, UK: College Fun Games has just released a demo of their first game, The Protagonish - a short point & click adventure game, a hand crafted funny experience with a grappling hook.
The Protagonish doesn’t focus on Sir Sandford, a fearless knight of noble birth, on an epic quest to defeat evil. Instead see the perspectives of four typical NPCs (non-playing characters) as an outsider threatens to upset the peace and quiet of their village. Play as the village shopkeeper, a monk who’s taken a vow of silence, a concussed miner (who doesn’t always say what they mean) and the mysterious beastie whom the knight has sworn to conquer.
Through dialogue, deception and puzzles, players can choose to help or hinder the adventurer in their quest, and see the consequences through multiple endings and character arcs. A short game with humour for the whole family, brought to life with hand-drawn characters and locations.
Featuring:
Full professional voice cast with stars from Edinburgh stand-up and stage
A score performed on real Celtic instruments
20 minutes of single player gameplay, with multiple endings
Wit, humour and a grappling hook
Hand-drawn art and animations
After being selected for Brilliant Indie Treasures (Brighton), and Timeless Gaming (Bury) the full game is self-funded, self-published and aims to release in September 2024 on Steam and itch.io for Windows, Mac, Linux. The demo is available now on Steam and Itch.io,
Happy Gaming!
