Quote
BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA — October 31, 2024. On this Halloween day, Senscape announces that long-awaited supernatural horror adventure ASYLUM will release on March 6, 2025. This is not an April Fool’s joke, and the studio debuted a brand new trailer to prove it.

ASYLUM is a first-person adventure developed by a dedicated team with a style reminiscent of 80s grindhouse films. It draws inspiration from H. P. Lovecraft’s atmospheric stories, the memorable Hammer Films gothic series, as well as twisted Euro Horror from the likes of Lucio Fulci. As players traverse the halls of the massive, decaying Hanwell Mental Institute, they will unravel a mind-bending mystery and solve puzzles taxing their wits and intuition. Featuring an estimated 15 hours of gameplay, ASYLUM is an epic love letter to adventure games and the spiritual successor to beloved cult classic Scratches.

“I need a vacation,” said director Agustín Cordes. “We need feedback”, said the rest of the team, flooding the director with countless of Jira tickets.

ASYLUM was funded on Kickstarter in one of the most successful crowdfunding campaign in Argentina. It also became the recipient of an Epic MegaGrant. Its unique approach to storytelling and presentation was put to the test in the free adventure game Serena, which surpassed 1 million downloads and received over 6000 positive reviews.

ASYLUM will launch on PC, Mac and Linux on March 6, 2025. No, really.

Happy Gaming! scared

Well what'a know. A release date. Thank you Ana

15 years in production it looks like Cordes is finally gonna deliver this long awaited game. Hopefully no more delays. The one thing some will have concerns with now will be the awards, will backers receive what they were promised. I have to believe they will

Cordes shorted himself big time on the amount he needed to develop Asylum. He ran out of money years back just to find himself in a serious bind facing many issues including his team walking out on him yet he continued on the best he could always saying Asylum will release one day and here we are. Running out of money he received from Kickstarter and the beating he took from the hateful messaging he received over the years from backers AND OTHERS would of had some just quit and give up but he did not do that. He kept pushing forward however he could and can finally say I told you I was going to deliver Asylum. He definitely deserves some credit

I have flip flopped on how I have felt about Cordes and this mess with Asylum, "I'm not going to get it if releases" or " I will get it because it looks very good". I will get Asylum when it releases. I have been waiting, like many, for years to play what looked at the time to be a very good asylum horror game. I hope it still is

EDIT: A demo released a few years ago. It's no longer available. You can check it out here

It's never too late!
