A few people here have played it, so hopefully one of them can help you out, TLC!

Keeping in mind I didn't complete all the tasks in each Chapter, let me go back in and look. I will come back to you in a PM.

Thanks, flotsam! But if it will be helpful to others, make sure to include it here too!

They give 2 options (Can't remember what they're called) of gameplay, I'm gonna try the 2nd one and see what happens. PPS. I did it! I played the harder mode, which really wasn't harder and I was able to get the Stolen Artifact to the Temple at the end. When I left Shipwreck Island and landed at Pueblo, the artifact went from my inventory to the cabinet on the hydrofloat.

Good Evening, TLC; I see that you posted this two weeks ago, so you probably have figured this out by now, but I'll try this anyway. If you are actually in the temple at the top of the stairs and listened to and watched Alverez, you are basically done with that temple room (There's another room). You need to find and take (Into the inventory) two items from that temple room and then go to the next puzzle. I never know how much to put in these answers, but you have already walked by where you need to go. Return to it and use one of the things you found. [For what it's worth, I never needed that "Artifact" once I found it. It did just disappear.]

If all the people were heroes, there would be no one to watch the parades.

When I replayed, in the so called "harder mode", the artifact moved from inventory to the cabinet in the hydrofloat. You're right, it isn't needed to complete the game but I wanted it for the last Steam achievment.
