Point, Click and Roar in Theropods, a new Dino-Adventure - Demo Out Now on Steam. Theropods brings prehistoric puzzles, cinematic pixel art, and visual storytelling to Steam Next Fest on June 9.Check out the teaser trailer here.Check out the demo here.Check out the official website here.June 6, 2025 – Dionous Games welcomes you to a world where humans and dinosaurs coexist. Theropods, a visually striking point-and-click adventure set in a lush, prehistoric world, will make its long-awaited debut during Steam Next Fest on June 9, where players can try the brand-new demo for the very first time.
Blending classic adventure game mechanics with cinematic storytelling and richly animated pixel art, Theropods offers a nostalgic yet modern take on the genre. Players solve environmental puzzles, escape deadly creatures, and uncover a story of survival, mystery, and friendship - told entirely through visual storytelling.
Created pixel by pixel, frame by frame, Theropods is more than a retro throwback. It plays like a lost gem of the ’90s, but with the clarity and confidence of today.
“We started Theropods as a tiny Flash game in a 2015 game jam,” said Kostas Skiftas and Sarah Duffield-Harding, developers of Theropods and founders of Lost Token. “Over the years, we faced numerous setbacks and were driven by passion alone. What carried us through wasn’t a single innovation, but a quiet, persistent belief in the game’s unique voice and its potential to connect with players.”

I actually got a headache watching the video to see if it was actually an adventure, Drac. My eyes strain to focus.

I've played plenty of old games with graphics just like those so they're not a problem for me, but whether the game has a story I would want to pursue is another matter
