Good morning Everyone ... enjoyed a good walk this morning in 72 degrees. I am off for groceries and then back home to tackle chores and projects. Hmmm, I didn't find pictures of the chair but can tell from Hagatha's description that it's rather tacky. Yes indeed Fogfighter, Friday's are always welcome and WADDB with bagels adds to a wonderful start of the day. Hope you are still on the mend and doing well Draclvr.

Good Friday morning! Had to drive hubby to an eye doctor appointment this morning. Took my WADDB along with me and read a book on my phone while I was waiting.

Now, it's off to spend more quality time with my ice pack!

Just back from a holiday in St.John's Newfoundland, now I can say I've been as far west and east in Canada as you can get.

I will make sure NOT to go to Combs Market next time I'm visiting Vancouver Island.

Glad your eye treatment went well Draclvr, I find I'm getting more use out of my icepacks as I get older!!

Oh dear, I'm not doing my part to draw tourists to the Island.

Good Saturday morning. Going to enjoy my WADDB after fixing hubby his big Saturday breakfast and then head back upstairs for some quality time with my ice pack!

I got a shower yesterday and of course that always makes you feel better. Then I found some 3 year old concealer and disguised the bright red huge bags under my eyes, put on my glasses and we went in town to get something to eat and stopped at the American Legion for a couple of beers. Will probably make a trip in town to the grocery store later.

Mary, I talked to my friend who lives in Northern Scotland yesterday and she said the wind was fierce!

We're finally going to get some summer weather this next week. I'm pulling together all the things I'll need for my trip to Toronto mid-July for my nephew's wedding. I have say that it's been so long since I travelled by plane I feel like a gormless rube. Everything is electronic now, including the tickets.

Unfortunately my mother will not be coming to the wedding after all. I had reserved her the best room in one of the best hotels in Toronto as a treat, but her health is now very fragile following what seems to be a botched pacemaker installation last week, and her doctors have determined that she isn't well enough to ride the train from Hamilton to Toronto, even if my sister accompanies her. She's 93 and still has all her wits about her but her heart is failing.

Today will be mostly spent sitting in my back yard listening to the bird song. Later on I'll go for a walk, I think.

Happy Saturday everyone! Fogfighter, I'll take your weather. It's too hot here for me, even in my air conditioned house.

Hagatha, will you be close enough, and have the time to take a detour, to see your mother while on your trip?

Oldbroad, I might be able to take the train to Hamilton while I'm there if I cancel the other visits I was going to have. We'll see how she's doing at that point.

Good Sunday morning! Remember when all it did was rain and said I knew we'd be begging for rain soon? Yeah, that's now! After 2 weeks of 95 - 100 degrees F temps, it is dry here and we were grateful for the 6/10 inch of rain this morning! I hope we get more this afternoon or I will have to start watering my tomatoes.

Looking forward to a lazy day started off with some WADDB and some time with my ice pack. My eyes are healing really well.

It's an absolutely beautiful day here. I'm trying to gear myself up to mow my lawn - maybe later this afternoon, when it's not so hot in my back yard.

After many days of having too much to do, I'm now in the middle of four days where I actually have not one thing to do. It's heaven.
