Quote
Paris, August 22, 2025 – Microids is proud to announce that Syberia Remastered will launch on November 6, 2025. Players will be able to rediscover Benoît Sokal’s masterpiece on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A limited physical edition will also be available to celebrate this highly anticipated release.
To mark the occasion, a brand-new trailer presents a striking comparison between the original 2002 game and its remastered version. This side-by-side footage highlights the extensive work carried out to modernize Benoît Sokal’s unique universe, while staying true to the emotion and artistic identity that have left their mark on generations of players.

A Respectful and Ambitious Revival

Co-developed by Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris, Syberia Remastered invites players to relive the unforgettable journey of Kate Walker, a New York lawyer embarking on an initiatory quest in search of Hans Voralberg. Reimagined graphics, revamped animations, and a modernized interface enrich this timeless experience, while preserving the narrative and emotional depth at the heart of Benoît Sokal’s work.
With this remastered version, Microids continues its commitment to bringing back classic titles from its catalog, following the critical success of the remake of Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy.

Syberia Remastered will be available on November 6, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.

The Quest 3 version will release on November 13, 2025.

Happy Gaming!

I watched the video on the Steam site that compares original scenes with remastered scenes and I have to admit, the changes are stunning. I think the movements seem much smoother and natural.

Nice looking remaster. ONly thing I wish is that the colors weren't so muted and...brown. Brown, brown, brown! Amerzone remaster was so much more beautiful-looking! Still, looking forward to the SYberia remaster coming out in NOvember. Hope their save game system is more like AMerzone's (chapter replays, not just ONE save slot...as was the other syberia remaster ("The World" Before"), which was incredibly difficult to create different save-slots for).

I am likely in the minority but I feel like the before/after views are reversed. I prefer the before much better than the after!

Me, too! Obviously the remaster has sharper images but ooofa...that mostly-brown/muted pallette. As an example: Amerzone remaster was PERFECT: vibrant colors, astonishing details (just terribly optimized for PCs that aren't new and top of the line).
THe Syberia-World Before was beautiful, but again: many muted colors, and that save system: yikes! I look forward to the SYberia remaster because I LOVE Sokol's games but I have a feeling it, too, will be optimized only for top of the line PCs (mine is good and tricked out, but 5 years old) and will probably have no manual saves.

Did I not write something similar in the "announcement post"?

"In this new video, I personally think that the Original graphics look better than the Remastered. The originals look more clear and crisp and defined. I know it's just me. Sorry!"

I think you wrote that at MM, oldbroad! I know I get mixed up with what I post where all the time!

This is just weird. I agree totally about the brownish tint. Why couldn't they just have stuck to the original colours?
