I'm sick of using Edge; I often find that websites seem to hang when I'm using it, making browsing within a site impossible.
What are some other good browsers?
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Okay, I'll give it a shot. Can't be any worse than Edge.
Thanks.

I've been using Edge for at least 6 years and have never had a problem like you describe. It's always been speedy and once at a website, it continues to be fine.
I used Firefox for many years too, but they kinda made me mad with their inability to allow me to auto enter passwords so I switiched. They may have remedied that by now.
When I don't want anything or anyone to be following me around the internet, I use DuckDuckGo. It's awesome for not leaving any tracks behind.

I also use Firefox, I have tried Edge and I don't like it. I have also tried several other browsers like: Opera, Brave, Pale Moon (was very good but no longer updates fast enough), Vivaldi, Tor Browser, Maxthon (did not secure enough with this one), SlimBrowser (same as Pale Moon no updates for a long long time) and after trying all of these Browsers I went back to Firefox.
PS: You can save your Passwords with Firefox, yes they will ask to confirm, but to me that is a security feature to make sure you really want to save your passwords, there are a few sites I went to although safe and secure I did not want my password to be saved automatically since I had no intention to revisit, at least on a regular basis.

I guess no one has mentioned good old Chrome. I used it for awhile, but just didn't care for it. I do keep it on my desktop when I need an alternate browser. I also keep Firefox too, but every time I use it and it won't allow me to auto-fill my email server password and I have to type it in, I get aggravated and go back to Edge.

Shoot.
I installed Firefox but the setup got stymied when I tried to create an account. It's supposed to send a 6-digit code to my email, but doesn't.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

I had that happen yesterday when I tried to change a password. Grrr.... have you checked your spam filter? Sometimes they get sent there and I have to go to the server to find them.

The email finally arrived, but it was long after the five-minute window for entering the code, so the code had already expired by the time it arrived in my in-box.

Them asking if I want my password saved is one thing I don't like about Firefox. NO, I don't want my passwords saved anywhere! How many times do I have to tell them that?
You just have to go to Tools, Settings and then click on Privacy and Security, scroll down and under the Passwords section, Remove the check mark on "Ask to save Password" and you will not be bothered again. You will also see some other excellent safety features while you are there.

Hmmm... hagatha, that makes me wonder if the hanging up in Edge is the fault of your ISP and not your browser.

It could be, although I normally receive such emails immediately (getting codes for log-ins and so on).

I use Edge for pretty much everything. I had used Firefox for many years, but it did a couple of things with upgrades that kind of ticked me off, so I switched to Edge and have never gone back. It isn't as customizable, but the reason for that is more security. They lock down the extension options for that reason. But they let me have the ones I need, so I'm good with that. I also use DuckDuckGo for any searches I do and for shopping at Amazon. The traffic following me around since I started that has plummeted to almost nothing. I have Chrome, but never use it. Edge is based on Chromium architecture. I also have never ever had a website hang up when using Edge.

I just installed DuckDuckGo to give it a try. The scroll bar on the right side is so teeny tiny I can barely use it. Is there any way to make it bigger? Just from googling, it would appear that the only way to do this is by editing the scroll width in the registry. But maybe someone else will know differently.

I never noticed the scroll bar being so tiny! I never use it as I just scroll up and down with my mouse wheel. Yeah, I'd not be treading into the registry either!
