Thank you Drac. I'd ask how it's not the same but you might tell me that there is nobody complaining about anything. Huh, I didn't realize that was a real coffee name. I just thought it is what Gerry calls it. My brother buys coffee every time he sees it on sale now and we'll get to it eventually. I used to buy flavored coffees, but no more. Today I made this recipe and it is pretty good. I just used sliced up Beer Brats that I had cooked in the oven, and I had Cheese Pierogies (not Onion) in my freezer so I used those. https://www.countryliving.com/food-drinks/recipes/a39829/pierogies-with-sausage-cabbage-pear-recipe/

He, he! I'm sure I do FAR more whining and complaining than you do! Especially about the weather! Here is the website for the Wide Awake coffee! Love their logo of the different animals with big eyes! https://wideawakecoffee.ourbrandfamily.com/

Good Morning connie, soot, Draclvr, hagatha, oldbroad, Mad, Fogfighter and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready! Draclvr I love the "logo" on the box of the Wide Awake Coffee...the owl with the" BIG EYES"...thats what made me buy it the first time...it made me laugh. I thought it was so clever...gotta have a lot of caffeine to start my day! Nice to see you back oldbroad...I understand how frustrating it can be to have an issue and have to call to get it fixed only to not be able to talk to a "live" person only AI. Hope you all have a stress free day! Gerry

Good Thursday morning everyone. Hey ho OldBroad, it's good to see you're back up and running again. We got a sprinkle or two last night and might get another one or two this afternoon...we need more as many do. I've been hand watering gardens and using sprinklers too. Going to enjoy a cup of wide awake double dark brew and bagel before I figure out what I'm going to do today. Woo hoo .. getting ready for halloween Have a terrific Thursday everyone ![[Linked Image]](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave2.gif)

I too thought the WADDB was a jocular description of very strong stuff. Anyway it sure does the trick. Over here a warmish day with 16 celsius and sunshine. Saw some brave people walking around in shorts. Sounds excessive to me but apparently they wanted to enjoy the remaining decent days before winter. Happy Thursday GameBoomers!

Good Thursday afternoon. I took advantage of the cooler temps and the little bit of rain we had to get some weeding done. I haven't been able to do anything because it was just so dry and the weeds just don't cooperate.
I did get my WADDB in this morning though! Now I have the little googly eyes to associate with it!
Night off from league bowling tonight.

Good afternoon everyone,
We're now heading into several days of (much-needed) days of rain. I've got my heat on. Summer is now over.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Morning connie, soot, oldbroad, Draclvr, hagatha, Fogfighter, and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready to start to your Friday! We got some much needed rain yesterday too, but not enough...only 1/2 an inch. Our temp are expected to be in the 70s next week and less humid...nice weather for walking. Hope you all enjoy a great Friday! Gerry

Good morning Connie, Fogfighter, Gerry, Hagatha, Draclvr, OldBroad and everyone. Enjoying a cup of WADDB and bagel before I hit the road for a grocery run. Yes indeed OldBroad, welcome to the age of "Artivicial Intelligence (AI)" answering systems for more and more businesses. Earlier this week I was talking with the customer service rep and then stopped to ask if they were an AI bot and she said "yes." That was an eye opener I hope some of that rain makes it down this way Hagatha. T.G.I.F. have a great day everyone! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.gameboomers.com/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wave2.gif)

Good Friday morning. Beautiful fall weather here, but like you, Gerry, that 1/2 inch didn't make a dent in the drought here.
Hoping the hot pepper/garlic mash I put in the fermentation jar last Friday is ready to be bottled today. This is the batch where I cold smoked the peppers first. I have to check the pH to be sure it's under 4.0. I want to give my step-grandson some for his surprise 40th birthday party tomorrow. I have 12 bottles of regular hot sauce bottled up already. Hoping to put on one more batch! It'll depend on whether there are enough ripe peppers out there!

Good morning everyone; Hagatha, you can send some of that rain here, we need it badly, but you are right, summer is over. Woke up to 54F this morning. Have a great day everyone & stay safe out there.

Good morningconnie. Fogfighter, soot, hagatha, Draclvr, judith and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. I did not sleep much last night...one of those times when the "old brain" couldn't relax...feeling tired this morning. Hope you all enjoy a great day! Gerry

Good morning Connie Fogfighter Gerry Judith Draclvr and all who follow. Weekend chores and projects are on the agenda today. Yes Gerry, I hate those nights when the ole brain does not want to turn off or it decides to turn on. Yes, it did Fogfighter. It's easy to tell some phone systems are automated and you must work you way through its scripted logic system. But this one was very sophisticated. Have a wonderful Saturday everyone

Good Saturday morning. Time for a quick cup of WADDB this morning.
I bottled up my smoked pepper hot sauce yesterday and this morning I did the labels and shrink caps. I have a nice box ready for step-grandson's 40 birthday party today!
I absolutely loathe "phone trees." I use a chat feature every time I can. Many times the initial chat bot will solve something and sometimes the bot will ask if I want to speak to a rep.

Good afternoon everyone.
And a rainy afternoon it is, here. Gloomy and very, very quiet, although when I drove out to the Shell station on the highway, it was so lined up I ended up driving into Parksville. I guess people are still travelling up Island for weekends like John and I used to do before we moved to Campbell River.
My pond upgrade is in progress and the garden's a big mess. I have to say that the mock-up picture they sent me didn't come close to the reality in terms of the size and impact. The bowl fountain is huge, and its placement will make the whole stream and fountain about 2 feet longer, visually. It's going to be really stunning. Since I like it here enough to stick around until I can't drive, it's money well spent, not to mention easier to keep clean. My next project will be to have built-in shelves, desk, and pull down bed in my office. Again, since I'll be here for a long time it will be worth it.
Happy weekend, everyone!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
