I had read your post in that playthrough but thank you for coming back to update us! Also though, I had read somewhere else that the setting we were trying to direct you to, should have helped you out, if you were using the right solution anyway.

Trust me. I had the correct solution. Although that brings up another of my complaints. The solution, as delivered by the little imp, would have been difficult to read by a color blind person. (If you've played the game you know what I'm talking about.) Although the workaround in that case would have been relatively simple ... take a screenshot/copy into paint/convert to B/W.

I haven't played the game yet. I'm glad you were able to move forward though!

[quote=rtrooney]I don't think so. The puzzle in question requires you to double-click on a series of objects. There is a clock, but the clock is not a timer. For example you must click on the object when the hour-hand is on 7. Then you must click on the second object when the hour hand is on 4. In total there are six objects and six clock settings. You have to click on the objects in succession, but you don't have to click on the 4 immediately after the 7. You can wait one or two revolutions (or more) before you click on 4. So it is not something I would call a "timed" puzzle.

Yes, this puzzle is affected by turning off timed puzzles in the settings. The clocks become stationary. It's still a challenge to know how to set them, but there is no race against moving hands to do so.

I finished the Foolish Mortals today. One of the top games I played in 2025. Even though it took me until 2026 to finish it. smile

I think it took me close to 17 hours to finish it. Of that approximately 10 hours was devoted to Chapter Three. Contributing to this, the 17 hrs, was the fact that I read almost every bit of dialog. By contrast, there is a video walkthrough on YouTube that, without commentary, finishes the game in approximately 5:45.

Speaking of dialog, it turns out that good friend Josh Mandel contributed to the script. And, I presume, to the humor.
