I found the light puzzle and the wooden box at the go kart area and stuck. The wooden box has no colors to click, so I don't understand the light puzzle and what to click on the box? duh

For the slider puzzle--I can't find the Solve button. Anyone else know where that is? Slider puzzles are my kryptonite, I can never solve them. laugh

Thanks, Marian. The hints tell me that the light puzzle will help solve the wooden box. The light puzzle has different colors light up, the wooden box does not. duh wave

The blinking sequence on the memory game must be mimicked on the wooden box. The areas that are clicked on the wooden box does not match the areas that at highlighted, which makes it a little harder. The sections on the wooden box that should be clicked are the following, clockwise:

1, 4, 6.

Me too. I am stuck at the slider puzzle. Is there a skip puzzle available? Never mind. I found it. Thanks Mikael for having that button. You rock.

You don’t have to any specific item. You’re probably looking at the wrong bench. The one you’re looking for is at the very end of the area.

Penny Lane, it doesn’t sound like you have located the playhouse. Is it on the map? How did you do when you located it?

You're right, Marian. I misunderstood, I realized that the playhouse is further into the game than where I was thinking she was. Duh me. lol

Hi Leeana, I will chime in here because I think I can help you.

What you need should be in your inventory - it is the storage box from Aldred's father's cottage. Right click on the items in your inventory and it should be there. Then you just need to use the filled pouch on the storage box in your inventory.

When you say that you ”located the playhouse”, what exactly did you do? Since it’s not on the map, and since the journal still says that you have to locate it, it doesn’t seem like you’ve done that yet.

On the Lookout I zoomed in and with the binoculars I moved to the right closeup screen and the only thing that highlighted was a tall white building in the back. There was no other place to click on in the other screens . So is this white building the playhouse?

The playhouse is in the middle towards the bottom (if I'm remembering correctly), it's very small. luck

I found the car key on the bench and the journal says to open the key with a clue from the note on the refrigerator, I have the note but I don't understand the sequence.

The symbols on the key should be clicked in the following order:

Car
Locked lock
Locked lock
Open lock

Help with Playhouse. Have I missed a step please? The Playhouse does not appear on the map. The walkthrough says I need to find it. Using the binoculars at the Lookout, I can zoom into the close-up of the tall building but there are no other places to check. Thank you for any help.

Update, it's ok, found it. if anyone is having an issue..
The tall white building is a red herring, the Playhouse is on the image straight ahead as you enter the Lookout

I had the same problem. On the screen with the tall white building use the binoculars along the bottom part of the screen. The binoculars will highlight on the playhouse. Good luck! wave

Thanks, Penny Lane, perhaps the solution is random? Mine was on the screen straight ahead.

Hi Penny Lane, I moved your post over to The Final Chapter thread.

I don't remember the exact sequence for this, so let's wait for someone who can help you out.

By the way, there is now a full video WT posted on YouTube.

The correct order in which to press the sections on the wooden box, from left to right (starting with the one at the top) is:
1, 4, 6.

I also didn't understand the car key puzzle clue and still don't. I unlocked it somehow just by clicking around. I saved my game and went back in to try to duplicate what I had pressed to solve the puzzle but could not although I did get lucky again. Tried yet again to duplicate the moves I thought I made but couldn't. I see the solution in the thread here but still don't understand it and still have trouble doing it. In addition to not understanding how this sequence matches the clue, apparently you can't just click the locked lock twice you have to hold it down until it beeps twice. This is the second time I've not understood a puzzle in a Carol Reed game. The last time was a few games back (I don't remember which one for sure). I guess that 's not bad for 21 games but I don't like it.

I did not see a skip button on the slider but I didn't really look for one. I just grumbled and cursed until I solved it.

The skip/solve button for the slider could be found by moving your mouse down to the lower right-hand corner of the screen, if I am remembering correctly. I think you were also told about this if you consulted the journal.

Hi dianne, I merged your post with our existing Carol Reed: The Final Chapter thread.

Someone here who has played the game will hopefully be able to help you out.

You almost need to go to the end of the area. When the road turns to the right, and you’re getting close to the pipe that goes through the small grassy hill, turn to the right, and you’ll see the sign in question.

I'm stuck. I'm at the International Horse Show, and the clue says "I should examine the notice board." I can't find anything to do that will cause the hint system to proceed to the next clue.

I’m so sorry, Uncle Reg, although I only recently finished this game I don’t remember being stuck at the point you describe. Although I certainly got stuck on others 🙄

Just take four steps forward from the first screen. You will see the notice board to the right.

Four steps forward and turning right, I see some kind of pipe fixture with a handle on a fence rail. If I turn left instead of right, I see what I think I'm supposed to see, a poster with a four-colored drawing of a horse's head. When I first saw it, I knew it was a clue to the puzzle I had seen before at another location, but the game did not acknowledge that discovery, no aha moment, no "Oh I remember seeing that before" from Carol. I have looked at that poster a dozen or more times and the hint system still says "I should examine the notice board". I do remember seeing that puzzle, but I don't remember where it was. I remember tinkering with it some, I might have even accidentally solved it, I'm not sure. All I know is I'm at the International Horse Show, having done what I think I'm supposed to do there, and the hint system won't tell me what to do next.

I have 10 pages of saves but can't for the life of me figure out where you are. What is the International Horse Show?

How did I miss that one turn? I scoured that place a dozen or more times. Moving on now. Thanks, Mikael.
