Hi Penny Lane, I moved your post over to The Final Chapter thread.

I don't remember the exact sequence for this, so let's wait for someone who can help you out.

By the way, there is now a full video WT posted on YouTube.

The correct order in which to press the sections on the wooden box, from left to right (starting with the one at the top) is:
1, 4, 6.

I also didn't understand the car key puzzle clue and still don't. I unlocked it somehow just by clicking around. I saved my game and went back in to try to duplicate what I had pressed to solve the puzzle but could not although I did get lucky again. Tried yet again to duplicate the moves I thought I made but couldn't. I see the solution in the thread here but still don't understand it and still have trouble doing it. In addition to not understanding how this sequence matches the clue, apparently you can't just click the locked lock twice you have to hold it down until it beeps twice. This is the second time I've not understood a puzzle in a Carol Reed game. The last time was a few games back (I don't remember which one for sure). I guess that 's not bad for 21 games but I don't like it.

I did not see a skip button on the slider but I didn't really look for one. I just grumbled and cursed until I solved it.

The skip/solve button for the slider could be found by moving your mouse down to the lower right-hand corner of the screen, if I am remembering correctly. I think you were also told about this if you consulted the journal.

Hi dianne, I merged your post with our existing Carol Reed: The Final Chapter thread.

Someone here who has played the game will hopefully be able to help you out.

You almost need to go to the end of the area. When the road turns to the right, and you’re getting close to the pipe that goes through the small grassy hill, turn to the right, and you’ll see the sign in question.
