I was just glancing through the Lovecraftian sale you mentioned and it brought back memories of the original Call of Cthulhu. That was some game.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Are you talking about this 2018 Call of Cthulhu hagatha? EDIT: The original? - Dark Corners. It is not playable on today's machines through Steam. Marian has posted GOG's version below

No, I'm talking about the, I think was around 2009 version. It was beyond creepy. There was one sequence early in the game where I had to turn off the sound so that I could concentrate on getting away because the sound freaked me out so much. You're woken up in a weird hotel by banging on your door, and you have to get away from... The Attack of the Fishmen.  Literally a heart-pounding sequence. It's not in the sale. I didn't play the newer one, though I have looked at it a couple of times.

I probably already have a copy of it, although the original was on a physical disk. It really did freak me out. There were some parts of that game that were horror masterpieces.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
