Good morning everyone,
Gerry, I get to bed late but I also get up late. I did NOT keep the habit of getting up early when I retired. I sleep best when I go to bed around midnight and get up around 7:30 or 8:00. If I try to sleep earlier than that I just lie awake for hours.
It's a rainy morning. I'm off to Pilates and the Post Office to return a couple of parcels.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Tuesday morning. Thank goodness those severe storms are over. We were very lucky to just get a little rain, some wind and about 20 seconds of tiny hail. Other places around us were not so lucky. Lots of damage reports coming in, but it doesn't appear there were any tornados. Sure is cool out though!
I would like to get back to working outside, but it's just a muddy mess out there. Caught up on laundry and mopped my floors yesterday, so maybe I'll do a little gaming today. Will be needing to make a run in town to get my first 10 pounds of sugar because my resident flock showed up today and they have gone through almost half a gallon just today! I guess they are really needing to fuel up after the long migration. I'd sure like to know how they find MY yard!

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark brew is ready. Thanks for the "new break room" Ana! I agree Soot the best part of getting up early is watching the sun rise and sipping on a nice hot mug of coffee...a peaceful time of the day...no worries! Have a Happy Hump Day everyone! Gerry

Good Wednesday morning. VERY chilly and windy outside. I went out to hang up another hummingbird feeder in a T-shirt... came back in and got a sweatshirt! I was wrong - there were a minimum of three tornados on the ground Monday, one of them with a path over 10 miles long. Still no reports of injuries, but there is damage. Luckily there were not near us.
Still too muddy to do anything outside as we got MORE rain last night. Must pick asparagus though. I'm going to pickle some today.

Good morning everyone.
It's a sunny, chilly morning. I have yoga this morning and later I'll lug my new power washer out of the car and set it up to clean the pollen off my patios. I also got a little hand-held version for cleaning out the cracks in the walkways, which are stuffed with needles and pollen. It will also be good for cleaning the Hardi-plank siding.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone. Another cool, but wet morning...we had storms and rain last night which was great but Max does not care for the thunder. But we enjoyed the damp walk this morning. Looking forward to more hummingbird visits. We're off to the vet shortly for our monthly shots and a check-up while we're there. Have a great 🐫 day everyone

Good morning all.
It's clouding over. I wish it would either rain or be sunny. We're already looking at a horribly dry summer and some rain would be really beneficial right no.
The garage door is hit and miss. I'm parked outside for the time being just to be on the safe side, as I missed my Pilates class yesterday.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hello Boomies hope all is safe and well hi hagatha sorry your garage Door is giving you trouble Have you tried WD40 on the sides of the door ? .... i too feel disheartened its now one (1) week that I cant get a Daybed (i can Buy one BUT) no one will assemble or haul away the old .... They love me to order But like I said to assemble and haul away is like pulling teeth ... I honestly dont know How on earth the seniors of today hold up? I have a daybed (4 0r 5 years old) that's sunk in the middle So I called a few places and NO they do not assemble or haul away ...... is that how they are treating the Seniors of today... ? the system of today focuses only on issues that does not help anyone ... sorry to have to lay this on gameboomers But I guess its my tun to vent a little ..... being 77years old with a not so great vision and heart problem ... Im at a loss and standstill cant even sleep well .... anyone have an idea on what i can do??? a little tip or idea maybe? Thank You all for just listening TY

Good Thursday morning. Still chilly here - at least it's sunny! Also still too muddy to do anything outside.
Last night of league bowling tonight. Tonight we bowl for prize money, so I should come home with a nice little jackpot!
Leeana, I'm not sure what you mean by a daybed. Are you talking about a hospital-type bed where you can raise and lower the top and bottom? That is something that would be covered by Medicare and you could get from a medical supplies store. If you mean the kind that converts to a sofa during the day, some stores will assemble and/or haul away the old one for an extra fee.

Leeana, check out donating to charities like Goodwill or Habitat for Humanity... they may come to pick up your old day bed. Wish we lived closer as I'd be happy to put together your new day bed. Good morning all! Asking for positive and thoughts and prayers for the birth of my grandson today and my daughter in law. It's a very high risk C-section being performed 3 weeks early due to health issues and could use all the good vibes heading their way!

Good Friday morning. Another chilly, but sunny day. I think things have dried out enough that I can work outside today.
Had a good last night at league bowling and came home with well over $200! I'm glad bowling is over for the summer. I am the President of our league and at our brief meeting last night decided we will start up again on August 20.
Connie, how awful. There is nothing worse than water leak problems... and nothing that can cause more damage to your home quickly! Hope you can get it fixed ASAP without having to tear up too much.

Happy Friday everyone! Ana, prayers, hugs, good wishes, and all that heading on the way. I hope the birth comes off without a hitch! Connie, good luck. It's always something. I sure hope you can get that fixed fast and easily. Sounds like a mess! Leeana, I was thinking the same think Gerry said, but soot has a good suggestion also. I hope the day goes well for you all!

Good Saturday morning. More of the same chilly, but sunny weather. The WADDB sure is hitting the spot this morning. I have my window to the hummingbird porch open just enough to be able to heard them chittering and arguing.
What a relief, Connie!
A trip to the grocery store in town this morning. Then I think I'll thaw out a chuck roast and make a pot roast for supper tonight.

Good morning everyone.
It's a lovely day. When I can gear myself up I'll get the lawn mowed and then set up the power washer for tomorrow's chores.
The Rufous hummingbirds have been here for a while. I don't have feeders, sadly (Dude) but they absolutely LOVE my water feature so I'm treated to their bathing and drinking. They sit in the weeping Red Acer and the new Pieris bush and dart down into the water.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Sunday morning. Weather is on repeat!
The pot roast was so good last night. We get our beef from a local farmer and it puts the grocery store to shame. I haven't had beef like this since I left the farm at age 17 over 60 years ago!
Have you been able to visit the new grandson yet, Ana? Is he still in the NICU?

Good morning all.
I was enjoying my coffee and reading my email when I got a notice from Malwarebytes that my email may have been hacked and recommending a password change. I changed my password (and the one on John's account), but that's not a nice thing to wake up to!
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Did you ever do anything about a new email or getting an email client to download to your computer?

No. It always seemed too complicated. I tried using Gmail for a while but it's a sloppy mess IMO. I'm better off with the existing client for now at least; I understand it well enough and I have everything sorted the way I want it.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Drac, I sadly won't be able to see my grandson for a few months. They moved a month ago to Alabama right after the baby shower to be by her family. They have a built in support system there as well as free childcare. Cost of living is much lower too! I have no days off of boarders except for about ten days in all year so that is when I can go. I'm booked solid otherwise through Jan 2027 already. They are still in the hospital and baby Theo is still in NICU but he gets to come stay with them in their room more and more! Hopefully they will get to go home soon! It's a three hour drive home for them as well which will be hard I imagine.

A shame you can’t get to see your little new Grandson, BrownEyedTigre, but I expect you are being sent plenty of lovely photos ?? And knowing all is staying well will be a great comfort. 😍😍😍

Hagatha, and everyone. Be careful with "email notices" indicating an account has been comprimised and do not click on links or call phone numbers "listed in that email." You navigate to the URL (web address) that you know is legitimate and/or you call the tech support number you know is correct (from their website) to change / update information. Scammers are becoming very crafty... I just read about this Apple scam Real Apple notifications

I'm sure you are itching to see that new baby, but hopefully it will be soon!
Yes, I get these stupid things all the time, soot. Of course, if you look at the URL of the sender, it's nonsense and nothing to do with your email provider.

Good Morning everyone! Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready. Ana sorry to hear you won't be able to see your grandson for a few months...it is difficult when family lives so far away. I hope mom and baby continue to improve and get to go home soon. Hope you all have a good Monday! Gerry

Good Monday morning. Nice and warm today, but then back to cold and rainy tomorrow. Would like to try to get my tomatoes in the ground this week, but will need to wait until later in the week.
That's doesn't sound like much fun, Connie. I hope they can get it fixed soon. Sharing a bathroom with ONE guy is bad enough!

Good morning everyone,
Draclvr, I never click on the links in those emails. I always go to the actual website and log in there. It was high time I changed my email password anyway. I regularly change my bank logon password, too.
It's a nice sunny morning. I didn't get around to the power washing yesterday, so it's today, or at least I'll get it started. My shoulder has improved considerably, but it will hurt for days afterwards, especially if I tackle the windows.
Connie, that sounds bad. I suppose they'll have to replace the pipes with the newer PVC pipes.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.
