Time for a shiny new thread!

Come one, come all, share your daily thoughts, conversational chit-chat, maybe a joke or two and all the little things that really don't need its own thread.

Good morning everyone,

Gerry, I get to bed late but I also get up late. I did NOT keep the habit of getting up early when I retired. I sleep best when I go to bed around midnight and get up around 7:30 or 8:00. If I try to sleep earlier than that I just lie awake for hours.

It's a rainy morning. I'm off to Pilates and the Post Office to return a couple of parcels.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Tuesday morning. Thank goodness those severe storms are over. We were very lucky to just get a little rain, some wind and about 20 seconds of tiny hail. Other places around us were not so lucky. Lots of damage reports coming in, but it doesn't appear there were any tornados. Sure is cool out though!

I would like to get back to working outside, but it's just a muddy mess out there. Caught up on laundry and mopped my floors yesterday, so maybe I'll do a little gaming today. Will be needing to make a run in town to get my first 10 pounds of sugar because my resident flock showed up today and they have gone through almost half a gallon just today! I guess they are really needing to fuel up after the long migration. I'd sure like to know how they find MY yard!

I have to get back to my pizza. I got to thinking about what Ana said about my oven temp being off which I said no to because this is my countertop oven. I started thinking that maybe the bottom coil might be going out but it seems to be okay. I did put my stone in the oven on a low temperature for 1-1/2 hours to maybe dry it out or something. But - what I forgot about also is that I used to start the pizza out on the bottom rack and then move it up to the top rack. Somewhere along the way I stopped doing that. I'm not sure if that's when the pizzas went down hill or not but tonight I tried that and it did come out better. Not great, but I think I just didn't leave it in long enough. I'll have to work on this . I sometimes forget from one day to the next how I did something. smile

That all being said though, I have read that they make the crust different now and that is why they don't crisp up nicely anymore.
