My sister is arriving for a couple of days. Hopefully I'll be well enough for at least a walk in the park.

It's going to be warm today. I'll do some watering, as we're now on Stage 3 water restrictions, and then I can take it easy for the rest of the day. I'm missing yet another dance class. I can feel myself getting weaker from two weeks of not working out. at all.

Good Thursday morning. Still in the low 90's here - I'll take it!

The beer in the rear chicken was awesome as always. Hubby wanted mashed potatoes, so I made a white gravy with Hatch chilies in it. I believe those Hatch chilies are my new favorite chili! They aren't hot and are only grown in Hatch, New Mexico. Although I did find I can order Hatch Chili seeds. I also made 6 pints of bread and butter pickles yesterday. LOTS of cucumbers!

Good Friday morning. Another beautiful hot sunny summer day! I'm crossing my fingers we don't get any of the extreme heat this summer, but it's early days!

Got 11 pints of Bread and Butter pickles canned yesterday. Six are going home with my step-daughter. The cucumbers are really producing!

We made it to the weekend! Stay cool everyone.

It's been raining for the past 15 hours or so. Much-needed, except my sister and I were going to go for a walk today. Oh well.

Another 90 degree day here today.

This weekend will herald a third week of extreme heat and no rain 🥺

And we now also have wild fires on MANY areas of moorland right across the country !!

We have smoke here from the Canadian wild fires.

We are getting a break from the wild fire smoke today, but there are severe storms and possible tornado alert heading this way in the afternoon and evening. There is I could lose power.

I'll be topping off bird feeders, refreshing hummingbird feeders and we can't forget the squirrels 🐿️ ... and then playing MTG with my better-half today. But first it's time for WADDB and bagels. Glad to hear you got a break from the smoke Gerry. Draclvr wears a hidden 'Energizer Battery Pack' for extra energy. Let's see if we can send rain rain to Mad! Good Saturday morning. The Germans take care of themselves for breakfast, but on Saturdays, I make breakfast. Today I made pancakes, eggs and bacon for everyone. I don't eat much breakfast, but they loved it! Guenter is making supper tonight... some German dish with hamburger.

Mad, I feel for you with all your heat and no rain. We are used to this weather over here, but you aren't on the other side of the pond! I hope it breaks for you soon.

We are due for some rain here today too. It will be a good break for all this 90 degree plus heat.

Wow !! A minuscule cooler today - and - if you didn’t blink and miss it - a smidgeon of rain.

It didn't rain long here but it did rain hard while it lasted. Glad you cooled off some Mad.
