Good Wednesday morning. Slightly cooler temps in the low 80's for a couple of days and heavy rain predicted for Friday.
We usually sit out on the pool deck and have a beer in the evening with the Germans. Yesterday was quite the wildlife viewing because of the slightly cooler temps. First a doe with two little fawns came out and the little ones started zooming around and chasing each other. Then three more deer came out of the woods... one is a huge buck we saw last year with an absolutely enormous antler rack. He was accompanied by another impressive buck and a little doe. We think she is the fawn from last year of the doe who has the twins this year. She started playing with the two littles. To top it all off, there was a big gobbler turkey in the mix who had to dodge the fawns tearing around a few times. It was hard to be quiet because we want to laugh several times!
When life gives you tomatoes, make Bloody Marys.

Good morning everyone.
It's our turn to be blazing hot. I'm driving up to Comox for lunch with a friend. Hopefully the heat won't be too awful. I'm not even letting the cats outside until this evening.
I had planned to do a COSTCO run while I was up there, but the thought of a crowded store full of cranky people in this heat is too much.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good morning everyone.
I woke up this morning to find no cats and a slightly open French door. I must not have latched it properly. Anyway, the call of the treat box lured both back in immediately. It's a good thing I live in a safe place and have a gate and fence.
It's dance day today. I'm feeling much better this week so I'll give it a try.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good afternoon everyone. The coffee and bagels were marvelous this morning. Great news about getting your water back Connie. Glad to hear you're feeling better Hagatha. We've enjoyed cooler temps in the mornings too...would be nice if it stayed that way...but alas it's summer! Have a wonderful afternoon everyone.
