Good Sunday morning. Got up this morning and the windows were all fogged up. Humidity outside was 85%. Forecast is 98 degrees F for today and 99 degrees F for tomorrow. Blech! No work outside today.

Petra is doing laundry and I'll bet it dries on the clothesline in about 15 minutes!

My day off from cooking is over! It was wonderful and Guenter's goulash was fabulous. Hubby found about a dozen more ears of sweet corn in the patch, so we added that. My step-daughter and her SO are still here and she requested my home made pizza for supper tonight. They are headed back to Virginia tomorrow morning. They were going to golf in the morning, but when they saw the 99 degree forecast, decided to head back.

Draclvr - I went with pork chops.

Good morning everyone.

We had quite a lot of rain overnight and more is coming over the next two days so I'm off the hook for watering until mid-week.

Not on the BBQ, but yesterday I made a huge pan of roasted chicken breasts and carrots, cauliflower, new potatoes and garlic with herbs from the garden. Now I don't have to cook for a few days, just throw together a salad, I have to force myself to cook sometimes and this is a good way to make sure that I eat properly.

It's a nice nothing day. Maybe I'll put up my feet and watch TV.

You all are making me hungry. I haven't been doing much cooking lately; eating a lot of junk type food.

Seems to be heating up here again after a few cooler days.

What I think Draclvr called a "garden salad" .... comprising many different fresh ingredients .... and one which I enjoy very much

Pork chops help me keep my shape.......round.

I haven't had a pork chop for years, but I used to make a devilled pork chop recipe that was pretty darned good. I think it had onions and white wine and fresh thyme and lots of Worcestershire sauce. The cookbook got lost in one of my moves and I haven't been able to find a recipe that good since.

Good morning everyone. We grilled 'Jumbo' hot dogs and enjoyed chilli dogs with coleslaw and tater tots...summer fun. Had a great walk this morning before some possible showers and then getting ready for the day's heat. Time for WADDB. Have a great day everyone.

Good Monday morning. They changed the forecast for 100 degrees F to a mere 96 for today. Yesterday was just dreadful with the humidity starting out at 96% and temps climbing up to 98. It was awful.

It was worth turning on the oven in the kitchen for the pizza last night and I sent step-daughter and her SO back to Virginia happy this morning! I make my pizza in cast iron skillets so the crust is nice and crispy. I make my own pizza dough and pizza sauce too. YUM!

This is the last week for the Germans. They will head back to Germany next Sunday. It's been a really nice visit with them, but it will be nice to have an empty house again.
