OhNoo Studio returns to the Tormentum series eleven years after Tormentum: Dark Sorrow. Tormentum II launches today!Check out the launch trailer here.Check out the game and demo here.WARSAW, Poland — July 2026 — OhNoo Studio will release Tormentum II, a dark point-and-click adventure set in a surreal world inspired by H. R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński, on July 23, 2026, for Windows, macOS, SteamOS and Linux. The game will be priced at US$19.99, with a 15% launch discount during its first two weeks. A free demo and the launch trailer are available on Steam.
The game is set in a future transformed by technology, not always for the better. David is building a simulation whose inhabitants are as intelligent as humans. Every night, he dreams of a mysterious locked chest and hears a woman's voice calling to him. When an anonymous seller offers him a mysterious coprocessor, elements of the dream begin to appear in his waking life.
After installing the new hardware, David wakes up in a prison on an island in the middle of the sea. He is inside the world he created. With little memory of how he got there, he soon discovers that his creation has layers he never designed and a will he cannot control. Its inhabitants speak of gods: beings who arrive from distant places and vanish just as suddenly.
“When we started work on Tormentum II, the kind of artificial intelligence we imagined still felt like science fiction. Eight years later, AI is part of everyday life. The story now feels closer to reality than we ever expected.”
Łukasz Rutkowski, co-founder of OhNoo Studio
Tormentum II was announced in October 2018 and has been in development for nearly eight years. Its core development team consists of Piotr Ruszkowski and Łukasz Rutkowski, who also created the original Tormentum: Dark Sorrow. The first game's Steam reviews remain more than 90% positive. Tormentum II tells a standalone story, so no knowledge of the original is required, although returning players will recognize the series' atmosphere and approach to point-and-click gameplay.
KEY FEATURES
• 200 hand-drawn scenes, plus dedicated close-ups that bring the total to nearly 500 individual background images, roughly three times as many as in the original game. • 8–12 hours of gameplay, depending on the player's pace. • Morally ambiguous choices that shape the fates of the characters David meets and lead to multiple endings. • A surreal world inspired by the art of H. R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński. • An atmospheric soundtrack with bursts of heavier, metal-influenced music. • A standalone story that requires no knowledge of the first game. • Seven languages at launch: English, Polish, French, Italian, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian. Additional languages, including Spanish and Turkish, are in development. Happy Gaming!

Orion: I don’t know anything about the story yet, but the game (and its predecessor) certainly looks like Darkseed. It’s heavily inspired by the works of H. R. Giger, who made the graphics for Darkseed. He’s mostly known for creating the monster for the film Alien. H.R. Giger's artwork is out there. I first heard of his work with the Alien movie Michael I don't know if you played Darkseed but both characters suffer from dreams/visions. Mike Dawson(Darkseed) has these headaches and David in Tormentum II has trouble sleeping and gets headaches. They open their medicine cabinets for meds. That's when I started thinking Darkseed. The artwork did help with that thought
It's never too late!

Thanks Ana…. Been waiting for years for this one. 😁
Would that I could be the peacemaker in your soul that I might turn the discord and the rivalry of your elements into oneness and melody Gibran

It's nice to be important but it is much more important to be nice.
