Oldbroad, I haven't had any Hot and Sour for over a decade myself. I do miss the Vancouver restaurant scene. There's not much here in the way of authentic ethnic food. What passes for Thai and Vietnamese should be a crime, and as for Szechuan Chinese -- not a chance. I'd have to go to Victoria. There's one half-decent Indian here, but that's about it.

Oldbroad, LOL! At 75, I'd be in a sweatshirt! I'm loving this upper 80's weather - nice cool mornings and beautiful summer afternoons and evenings. In between loads of laundry, I was outside almost all day working in nthe gardens.

I had a late start today -- I was up reading until well past midnight and then didn't sleep well.

Fogfighter, your weather sounds lovely at this time of year. Normally August would be very warm here, but so far it's been lovely and cool until much later in the day. The forest fires are raging all over the province though. There are three on the Island but all of them are thankfully contained.

It's been very hot here today, too.

Had a great dance class today. A couple of women in the group suggested that I also join the Advanced class. I might just do it. I'm not getting much mileage out of Pilates, which just seems to give me aches and pains.

There's a lot of smoke in the air from fires. And I only just got my asthma under control! Oh, well.

Still here! Lightning struck my internet tower during a bad thunderstorm about 5 am yesterday. My tower is only about 1/4 mile away, so it about raised me out of bed! Then it rained all day with thunder and lightning, so they couldn't climb the tower. On my cell phone right now.

That’s not good, Draclvr. But better the tower than your property !!
