LadyK, I finished The House at the End of the World, and I quite enjoyed it. It was a nice mix of thriller, suspense, horror, and sci-fi.
I know that one of the criticisms of Koontz is that he has a tendency to recycle plots and character types, and while that can certainly be true, I still find most of his books to be good, relaxing reads. And I almost always come across words in every book that I have never heard before, which doesn't happen very often in other books that I read.
