A couple of questions.

1. In the upper left corner of the game there is some kind of coin icon or something with a number in it that changes when I click on some kind of glittering something or other I may run across while playing. What is this? Do I use it somehow?

2. There are at least 2 board games to play, one with a kid and one with a man. Do I have to play and win these games? I know the one with the man will apparently help me to get some money.

3. Am I going to have to deal with her time thing? You know, turning the clock? And where might I even find that clock, if so?

I googled most of this because my memory isn't that great about a lot of this.

1. In Nancy Drew: The Captive Curse, the coin icon in the upper-left corner of the screen tracks your total money (Euros) collected throughout the castle. You can pick up hidden shiny coins around the environment and spend them on items like those in the gift shop.

2. Details About Raid: Requirements: You can say no when invited, or stop playing after trying it out. In-game impact: Skipping it does not block your progress or prevent you from finishing the game.

3. Nancy cannot use an alarm clock to freely change the time of day or sleep to advance time in Nancy Drew: The Captive Curse. All the events in the game take place over the course of a single night, so there is no mechanic to skip forward. You can change the time on a specific puzzle clock later on in the game as part of a puzzle. You will probably just come across this clock as you explore.

Thank you very much, Marian! Good to know I don't have to change the clock or win the board games if I don't want to or can't.

Just one other thing though. I don't see any money in my inventory or anywhere.

Googling again:

Your money (Euros) is not stored as a physical item in your inventory. Instead, the game keeps a running count of the money you pick up around the castle grounds and courtyard to use at the castle gift shop. There should be a coin item in the upper left corner of your screen tracking your total money.

Thanks Marian! Sorry I'm making you do all this Googling that I could have done myself! The number showing up there seems to go back to zero; not just keep adding up. I'll take a better look when I play a bit later to see if I can figure this out.

No worries. I wasn't sure that googling wouldn't show you something you didn't want to know.
