Just a heads up, there is now update 1.1.0 available! Aside from a bunch of bugfixes, it addresses the issues with the save/load menus, and also adds some new features, including a remake of the 1995 Amiga demo! Unfortunately, old saves won't be compatible with this new update. However, you should be able to get back to where you were pretty quickly through the use of the Chapter Select in the main menu, especially since the Enhanced Edition allows you to skip cutscenes.

Yes, the game needs to be re-downloaded in order to get the update (no installation, though).
Unfortunately there's no Steam or other launcher to download it automatically.

As of yesterday, the Enhanced Edition is at version 1.1.2, featuring various bugfixes and improvements. Currently the only remaining plans for it are potential translations, as I doubt there are many things left to fix. At least ones that are not part of the rather unique experience.

Turns out that I spoke too soon on there not being many things left to fix. I found out from watching some folks get stuck in unexpected places that some things were not as well designed as I thought. Well, version 1.2.0 hopes to address that, with numerous smaller bugfixes and improvements, and also with the addition of (optional) markers on the map that tell you whether there's anything to do at the given location. Hopefully this improves things considerably! It now also comes with a Russian translation, hopefully with more to come!
