Good Tuesday morning. Back to HOT for a couple of days. I hope this is the last of it!
The hummingbirds are still here, but their numbers are dwindling and I have a feeling they will all be gone on their migration by the end of the week. I always leave one feeder up until at least the middle of October for any stragglers.
Yay... laundry today.

Good afternoon.
We're having some lovely temperatures here. Summer is definitely over.
So, the computer is still in Washington State but has cleared customs -- took them a while to register my payment -- but is still supposed to arrive tomorrow. I doubt it, though -- FedEx's delivery date hasn't taken into account our rather unpredictable ferry system. It means I have to be at home until it gets here, whenever it gets here, because it's too heavy for me to carry if I have to go and pick it up. It's a good excuse to just hang out, though.
I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Wednesday morning! Another toasty one before a slight cool down tomorrow.
Soot, I think Killdeer might be one of my favorite birds! They are total drama queens faking injury to lead predators away from their nests. They make those nests on the ground, preferably in rocks. We often have nests in the rocks along where I have guided tours down at the horse rescue. I always challenge the kids to find the eggs which are almost complete disguised... they are hard to see even just a few feet away. And when I'm downn there at night to feed, I hear the Killdeer all over the place - one of the few birds that fly and call at night.
Heading out to pick my red ripe hot peppers to put another mash on for more hot sauce today.

Good morning all, Up early just in case the shipment arrives today. Sounds like I might need help getting the shipment open since it will be heavily packed. This is where living alone really stinks. It's a lovely morning. This is a very nice time of year up here, with blue skies and moderate temperatures. I don't think we'll be seeing any more hot days now, which suits me just fine; I hate hot weather. I'll be spending my day cleaning up the office and playing on my Steam Deck. EDIT: It's here. Now I have to figure out how to connect it all......
