Good Tuesday morning. Another hot 95 degree day and then a drastic weather change tomorrow and maybe rain. I hope so or I will have to start watering my shrubs.

The guys are up and stirring and grandpa is getting the clay bird thrower set up. I might go out and shoot a few times, but I'm not very good at it! They will head back to the airport about 1:30 today. It's been such a nice quick visit. My grandson wasn't able to make the family trip last summer, so he said he'd needed a grandpa and grandma fix! He was 22 this spring and doing really well. He has struggled with mental health issues and is finally becoming more independent and taking control instead of letting the issues control him. This is his safe and support place and he laughed and said he needed a recharge!

It is 30 degrees here this morning. I guess some Canadian air has arrived.

I got my flu shot yesterday...had just a little soreness, but it is gone this morning. The only side effect I feel is extremely tired! In two weeks I'll get the Covid shot.

Temps today will be in the 70s, but cloudy so I won't feel the warmth of the sun today.

Good Wednesday morning. After another 95 degree day yesterday, it has cooled down to the 70's. We even got a little rain last night... hopefully enough that I don't have to start watering outside.

The boys got back to Denver safe and sound yesterday. My grandson called me from the airport while they were waiting to board their flight - he got the new job he applied for! He was SO excited and pretty proud of himself. He's worked at the airport for almost 2 years, but wanted something with more flexible hours as he wants to try taking some Community College classes. He will be a barista at a Starbucks in Denver. Good grief! They make nearly $20 an hour plus tips in those jobs!

Today is the visitation for my DIL's mother and tomorrow is the funeral, so we have all that to attend.

Turned on the heat and the auxiliary heat keep coming on, too. That means something is wrong with the heat pump. Very annoying. I'll have to get the HVAC people over today.
