Good afternoon everyone. I hope you are each enjoying your day. I made my semi-annual trip out of the house today. Two banks, took care of my brother's stuff and my own. I even deposited a 3 cent check I had received. I figured if they wasted time, effort, and money to issue the check, I might as well deposit it.

25 year old granddaughter left Denver this morning just before dawn. She is heading across the country to move to Chicago! She is pulling a small U-Haul trailer with all her stuff and Grandma is NERVOUS! I warned her about a lot of construction on the interstate in Missouri and about deer season. At some point she has to head south off the interstate and it is curvy highways through the woods in the dark and the deer are really moving as it's deer season here. I won't be resting easy until I see the whites of her eyes!

Drac, actually Chicago or nearby, and why if I may ask? I grew up here and don't have anything against the city itself but I don't think I'd want to move here from somewhere else.

Our forecast had been for rain most of this week but we only had a small amount just last night.

I can't believe it is Friday again. I wish the weeks had gone this fast when I was working! I don't really like the weekends much anymore. I can't exactly explain why though.

Oldbroad, the main reason is jobs in the medical research area. Virtually all funding for medical research has been pulled, so the job market is really tight. There was just nothing for her in Denver. She is doing the move with a friend from high school who is in a similar position. She just texted me a link where I can follow her progress live. It looks like she is about 5 hours away and I just hope she doesn't get delayed in construction.

Oldbroad, her friend had driven a U-Haul truck to Chicago a couple of weeks ago to the apartment they have leased. So she is driving alone - except for her fish! Which is what worries me!!!

Draclvr, Of course I hope she arrives safely, but I was referring to the job stuff. I was trying to keep the focus off of your worry about her traveling. Not to minimize it; just as a positive thing that there wasn't anything to worry about there. I hope you know what I mean. I am not always good at how I say things.
