Not sure if this is normal or should complain. Bought a couple of games from Bigfish. Every time I quit a game, it wants access to the internet and change internet settings. If deny, computer crashes (have to unplug and restart) but nothing happens if am off-line at time and say it's allowed. Now I like the new upgrade feature where it lists all the games tht you have downloaded, how much time left on demos and allows you to play bought games straight from it. What I don't like about is that don't have a link to it (though haven't looked for it) and the other stuff that it did. This thing searched my computer and got my other e-mail address which didn't want them to have. It also managed to hide my task bar first time (though worked fine since then) and to lose internet connection program. Had to reload it and use new short cuts.
Never resist a generous impulse.

I downloaded a new game the other day and I didn't have any of those issues. If it searched my email addresses I would have a major fit. Something doesn't sound right and I would absolutely write them and have a fit. Please let us know what happens. Ana

I've noticed that the games I bought always want to access the net when I quit. Ana, your games don't?

Nope...the only game that does that is Top ten Solitaire because you can see how you rank with others. You can turn it off though. I have never had any other game try and do that. Maybe it's a setting? Ana

Me too. My internet connection thingy keeps coming up and I have to x out of it about 5-8 times. Weird how that will happen with some and not others.

looney, take that you got a spy program? That's what catches it on mine. Don't have that trouble with the ones that I bought in a store. Also lets me know if a program that isn't approved to access the internet tries.

That is strange. Thanks, Acornia, we do have a spy program as well as a firewall. I'll have to check into this some more. I bought Mahjong Quest yesterday on disc and installed it, and it didn't try to access the net when it closed. Maybe the ones that are trying to access the net are the ones which are still in "trial" basis??? I'll have to look

No, it's everyone that I downloaded including ones already bought. No problems with the ones bought in a store.

Same here I bought the Shark game with a credit and if I want to play it wants ti go to internet, and I can't see why so I say no, and nothing happens I have to do the '3 finger' to get back to life again,
But then I am not a lover of Big Fish, bought a Nancy Drew, paid over £4.00 and no sign of it, no reply to my e-mails, no help what so ever, my opinion Big Fish is useless.
Keep going, the feeling great at the end.

the same thing happened to me with the Mystery of Shark Island game, but I havbe never had a problem before. I think my system may not like their new format or something... WW

By any chance has anyone to gone into the option buttons of the games in question and unchecked, either a global rankings button or an internet button? If the game has points it most likely is looking for the internet to give you the score on how you fared with others. Ana

I can't even GET to the options button. All I get is a black screen and "program not responding" when I press Ctrl=alt=del.

well, for me it seems to be a problem only with Shark island. I D/Led another game and it works fine.
