So I decided to give this game another chance, and even though I'm not very far, I'm enjoying it. It's the typical fantasy RPG; which is not a bad thing. Anyway, I'm stuck in the catacombs beneath Aleroth. I've just been in the room with all those candles and fought a skeleton that was summoned there when I lit them all. How do I get past the locked door? I've roamed the entire complex for a key, but can't find a thing...

Hi,
Some doors have keys and other doors will have a lever on the wall somewhere so you have to look for them to open doors.

Yeah, I've looked around for some lever...according to GameSpot it should be in that same room, but I never found it before. Will give it another try today.

Here's a map if you get stuck (shows where the levers are too). Hope you like DD better this time!

Heh, I'm only at the first level. Still hasn't played anything. Fluid mechanics caught my attention (have a mastodont home exam I have to do) Thanks.

One of the few games where I played through the night and didn't want to leave it. What are you playing as, and are you out of the dungeon yet? I think you'll enjoy the music when you get out in the big playing world.

Hi, LOL LOL LOL Mad I hear you. I listen to my music collection from my games and every time Divine Divinity music starts to play I am being pulled to that game. Should I install???? Hmmmm. I really love the music for the Orcs. The drum beat gets me going.

Hm, I was going to play it tonight, but wow...that is one buggy game. First, the graphics looked weird, with text missing and stuff...so I was going to restart the game, but that didn't work since the program kept locking up. After restarting the computer, I could start it.
Next, after returning to the fortress of General Alix in search of a smith or something to repair my armour, I am suddenly able to give her the message from Seth...which I already have done, several hours ago! Everything is repeated, with the orc attack. Talk about Deja vu.
And now finally (which if nobody at their forums can help me with I'll put the game down again) my PC's stamina keep draining. I am not sneaking, I am just standing around, and the stamina keeps dropping.

I don't remember this as a buggy game at all Drizzt. My graphics were great and I didn't have any glitches. It sounds like something between your computer and the game itself.

I didn't have any problems either Sue. I played unpatched because I didn't, but I know there are patches available on the Larian site for peope who did. Sorry you're having problems Drizzt - that can be so frustrating. What do you mean about stamina draining - if it's your character you're talking about, could you have picked up a cursed object?

Ugh that big sword thing from the Cursed Abbey! I remember that weapon. By the same token it was my first RPG and I had a blast! Who knew hacking and slashing could be so much fun and dying could be had on such a regular basis?

I'm at level 20, and am still just running around in the world. The orc camp where I am to poison the well still feels a bit too hard for me. I will return later to deal with that I think.
How many "maps" are there in the game, or is there just one?

You can do that quest if you use black (invisibility) potions.
