Stuck again
It's the second day and I'm supposed to catch that filthy bird. I suppose I need a net or something but I looked everywhere and couldn't find it.

Also, I need a present for Oakley. I already got the book for his wife.

Any ideas?

Did you get a knitted shawl from Mrs. Oakley? Do you have a book about birding yet in your inventory?
You will have to figure out how to move that stone at the old church to get the gift for Mr. Oakley.

I cannot finish act 4. According to the walkthrough I need to do some treasure hunting, but I cannot seem to start this. In the walkthrough it says that there is a picture in the Monk's pub with a hint to the highest point on the island, where is it? There should be a copy in the chemist's, but the only thing I see there is a kind of map, which is not 'clickable'.

When I consult the Finger of Suspicion, I only need to talk to the chief constable Weston, but the only thing he says is that there's no news from the sketch that was sent to Scotland Yard.

Please help...

If you already looked at the board with the letters N E N then just goto the hill where you saw some1 looking for "coins". Its that big hill with the empty space. Just go there and it'll trigger the search.

BTW I finally finished the game. What a great game Too bad this is the last Agatha Christie game.

I have looked at the dartboard and got a comment like "N is next to 20 and 19 and E is next to 15", but when I go to the hill nothing happens.

Is there a picture on the wall somewhere, where Tom is looking north, as stated in the walkthrough?

PeeWee be sure to click on the dartboard a couple of times. He needs to realize that the letters and numbers are instructions. There is a picture in the bar near the dart board but I never got a hotspot on it.

Just to clarify: In Act 2 at the Monk's Hood at Leathercombe Bay, the bartender said there was a map at the chemist. I did find out that the map at the chemist is not clickable too.
I also did not find the picture. It seems that the clue given by the bartender is a red herring.

OK, I'll try this when I get home (I'm at work now). Do you know what triggers the knowledge that the letters on the dart board are instructions to the treasure? Maybe I missed some little thing...

I'm not sure PeeWee, I just kept going back to it to compare all the dart boards. That was the only one that had numbers on it I believe.
It is probably timed more with finding the shovel and the clues around that than anything.

Let me recall:
You talked to Albert the bartender about the treasure and he mentions the high spot.
You talked to Will about the ghost.
You climbed up the Island Summit and talked to Oakley Gardener there and he mentioned that Tom Cutter stays here and looks around.
You clicked on the dartboard at the Smugglers End Pub and noted the coordinates.
Clicked on the dartboard on the brick wall at the cellar of the inn.
You click on the dartboard again and Hasting will say they are coordinates for the map.
I think I'm missing one other talkies about the treasure.
Talk with the beachtender maybe.
Ah - yes - be sure that you read the Seadrift Island brochure and get history.

Well, it was indeed as simple as that. I restart the game, load my saved game, go to the pub and click on the dart board. And now Poirot/Hastings sees the coordinates for a map!

Still, I don't find it very logical to have to 'look at' an item multiple times to learn more about it. But maybe I'm trying to find reasons for my own mistake now...

I think the second click was after you found out about the high point of the island from the bartender at the village.

I'm glad you got past this part PeeWee. I figure the way I played the game caused me to have to repeat some tasks more than once.

Hey everyone, i appear to be stuck again. I try to play this as much as possible without consulting the walkthrough but appear to be stuck again. Basically i gave the sketch to constable of North, and have done everything in the walkthrough except finding the treasure. I can't seem to find any hotspots to use the shovel on it. So i am missing the 3 darts. The finger of suspicion tells me to eavsdrop on Marshall but he;s nowhere to be found and also talk to the Constable who tells me no news on the info he sent to London. So the fact that i don't have the 3 darts probably means i am stuck, can anyone take a screenshot of where the treasure is so that i can find it. I read the walkthrough but i am probably going to the wrong place. Thanks for any help.

Butcher I think I went back to where I found the shovel and he paced off from there. Do you have the directions and number of steps already?

Butcher, it looks like you're stuck in about the same spot that I was. If you read the previous page(s) in this thread, you'll know what to do. It has to do with a dart board and a high place...

And about eavesdropping on Marshall: if I remember correctly, you'll have to listen at the balcony door with the stethoscope, but it could be the front door of his room as well.

Read the previous page and i remember going to the closed pub once and looking at the dart thing once. But now it's closed and eventhough i have the key it doesn't allow me to go in so i can't get the directions required. I'll try again and hopefully i haven't reached a dead end.

Edit-Ok after 3-4 attempts the key decided to open the pub this time so i now have the directions of hidden treasure, looks like i am back on track, thanks everyone for your help

Act 4-need help looking for the gold darts. When I click on the path to Rocky Beach I appear at the bottom where Emily Brewster is and I talked to her. She said something was thrown at her. I can't find the spot to dig to get the 3 gold darts on the path going back up or at the spot in the path where the spiral stairs are located. Any suggestions.

Go to the lounge chair patio is at other side of the paved path of the hotel. That's where Poirot will automatically pace off - after you talked to the bartender.

I went back to the bartender and he told me of the new location to look for the treasure. I went to the loung chair patio as per your instructions but nothing happened.

Click on the dartboard inside the Smugglers End Pub again and see.
Then go to the left side of the wall by the hotel main door.

Evil Under the Sun Finally got the three darts and continued on. Went to see Colonel Weston about North's sketch and he hasn't heard anything on it. It then states in the w/t that I automatically will be back at the side of the hotel. Didn't happen. Any suggestions.

Double check the parts of the walkthrough with asterisks. Those are the action you need to do to finish the act-chapter.
Also talk to everyone, double check and read what is in the documents, suspects; also look close at all your inventory.

Evil under the sun Act 5 Re: Letter of regret. I have put the letter to-gether correctly as per the w/t but it will not go into documents. Any suggestions.
