Is it me or does everyone else run out of time during the missions? I run out of time during the mini game part. Very tough to find the objects. The nearest I ever got to time problems was with MCF games, until now. Oh for a time cheat cry

aretha, I think most of us are challenged by the time constraints. however, I worked in a factory for 10 years and I learned not to focus on time as that works against you.

what I do is read the list first, then slowly and methodically move my cursor around the screen and if I think an object is found I check the list again. I also will do a run-through of the scene finding whatever pops out at me and then go to another screen so I can eliminate as many items as possible without wasting a lot of time. Then I go back to each screen looking for the hidden objects again, trying to get the number remaining down to the number of hints. Don't be afraid to use the hints as every level you get more hints again.

I don't remember playing Pearl Harbor so I am downloading it now from SpinTop and I thank you for telling us about it thanks and after I play a mini-game I will see if there is any shortcut I could recommend.

Keep having fun wave Linda

I finally installed it and I humbly beg your forgiveness - that is one hard game (are you all listening, a real challenge here!).

It took me 2 tries to make it through screen 1 and I did use the 3 hints both times. The game looks very sharp but some of the items are just not what you are expecting. I had "trash X2" and found crumpled paper but the 2nd eluded me though I clicked on many things. The hint showed it as the large container near the lockers so, "who woulda' thunk it?". Then a can turned out to be a silver cup think so I would say it is the game Aretha and not you.

Be aware that random clicks cost you points scared and they add up quickly.

I came away before starting the next screen - it seems they offer one screen at a time duh so I haven't been to a mini-game. I will finish out the hour and then decide about purchasing. I am going to guess that due to the difficulty level of this game a buyer will definitely get their money's worth with this one. The game is an iWin original so it could wind up at BFG in the near future.

Thanks Aretha for a very challenging Hidden Objects game.

Linda

I couldn't make it through the first screen after 3 times so just quit. Too hard!!! Having points deducted every time you click on a wrong object is not a good idea for me in these games since I frequently cannot recognize the object by a sometimes obscure drawing. This game is not for me!!!!!

Yes, I didn't want to discourage anyone but I had tried this from iWin.com when it first came out and I remember thinking too hard then. Now trying it again I don't seem to be carrying my progress either which makes it more an arcade game than a casual game IMHO. I like a game that saves my progress from playing to playing.

The first mini-game isn't difficult but you are putting a map together but the pieces are strewn over the playing area so it is not hard to lose a piece you need.

It is a fun hour but could have been developed better duh

Linda

**edit: Please forgive, it did save my progress the 2nd time.

Linda, glad to hear it saved your progress. Do you know why it saved this time? Did you do something differently?

L4L I have no idea why this time but not the first time. I might have just closed the game instead of going to main menu and quit duh but I felt that I had to come back and edit since my statement proved incorrect.

This would be a game for players that find all the other Hidden Object games too easy. Me, I like to find and keep moving.

I would love feedback from anyone who liked this game. It was WAY too hard for me. Since some of the items are so obscure the time limit is a killer and depressed me. I think all developers should have a no time limit option for the game to insure its commercial success. The point loss on wrongly clicked objects was yet another downer.

I couldn't agree with you more b42241. When you cannot see the items and are 'charged' for clicking wrongly it really does take the fun out of it. And the time limit was pretty harsh.

I was trying to write a trainer for this one (it's too hard!) but the game crashes when you try to change the time values in DMA. It will allow you to edit the memory part, however, so I was able to get through it. (if you're adventurous, it's a 2 byte value, and I found it by checking for values in memory that have decreased over time and froze them. The 6 values changes every time you restart the game.)

Overall, I would say it's not worth the headache. It's very pretty but everything is hard to find and slightly blurry. :|

Just downloaded the game, tried to play it & uninstalled it 5 mins later! Yet another disaster - the game won't launch - tells me the file is invalid & I am already playing something else duh After uninstalling it I still had the 'thing' in the blue bar at the bottom of the screen i.e what tells you what programmes you opened - had to re-boot. Sorry - another turkey from you BF! - I know that your customer service is excellent but judging from posts here it doesn't seem worth any trouble trying to get it to work! frown

We can't really complain Chrissie, that's why they give you a free hour trial. Not all games play on all computers and not everyone has the same tastes. They release a new game everyday, so there is sure to be something that'll strike your fancy that plays well on your computer.

Hi Ana, thankfully I always try the free hour first so I haven't lost out! I don't go for most of the casual games, just the 'seek & find'. I'm just a tad frustrated as there has been a few games/demo over the last few months that just won't work but really I should just stop getting side-tracked & try & get on with the many wonderful AGS I've got lined up!! smile

I think there really is a problem with this game. I can't play it either and I never have a problem with BF games. They will soon fix it, I'm sure. I can wait. From the descriptions above we may not like it anyway.

I'm still working on Hidden Relics... still haven't found any of the special relics.

Sorry NYLady you've had a problem too! - if any new builds come along I might give it another shot! smile

As for Hidden Relics, so as not to get off topic here, I've added a post to the current thread on the game in the hope that it may be of some help to you ? smile

I also couldn't get it to run. I got the same error and I don't have problems with other Big Fish games. wave

I never managed to get this game to load. So whether or not the game is easy or hard or not is moot in my world.
I won't fight with a game though that gives me error after error when I try to load the demo. It isn't worth the irritation for me. BFG's loss, not mine.
I figure wasting two+ hours of my time is enough for any demo.

It's best to let them know at BigFish so they can do something about it.

I also downloaded this game yesterday from a different site than BF but when it loads is like its all off kilter I can't read the top part of screen on right side. Seems like it is all scooted to the right unless its because I have my resolution on 800 by 600. And had a heck of time even trying to start game pushed every button I could. And I couldn't get through the first screen either.

I hope a patch will be coming out soon--seems like lots of folks have had a hard time getting this one to run sad

I see Big Fish has removed it from it's list of games.
