That's good to know. Maybe it's the German release that does that, I couldn't tell from the post.

Same here. It asked for the CD. My autorun is not turned on anyway. Haven't tried any cheats yet.

Oh well, another idea bites the dust! If anyone out there has the original German release, I'd love to hear if it applies, or the post was just something out of lala land.

Yay Bets! Don't you just love that squeal they make when you snag them up? Is Silla still your only fairy? She's pretty tough, and she'll be very beautiful thru her evolving too! My favorite is Tadanna, she's a little water fairy and has the cutest little giggle! Ah...what a wonderful game! I've lost track of how many times I've played!

So far, she is the only one. I'm beginning to catch on now. I'm sure I'll have more questions later though.

I loved the pixies sound! But I think there were always one or two I couldn't ever catch. Hope you have lots of fun Bets!

When you're feeling confident enough, go fight the fairy in the second part of the Fairy Garden who is in a tree behind a lady elf. There is a silver sphere there you will get if you defeat the fairy (who is a level 9 something - I forget). Then talk to the lady fairy and trade her the sphere for a Tadana. She is a lot of fun to play and evolves into one of the strongest water fairies. Her giggle is worth having her alone!

You will probably need more than 1 fairy to defeat Seamus! And be sure to cover every inch of the Enchanted Forest off the beaten path to get lots of fairy fights there. Most are level 3 fairies, but you will run into some level 9 fairies too, so be sure to have at least two or three fairies leveled up to at least 10. It's a fast way to up their stats! Have you been to the cottage yet in the last part of the Fairy Garden yet? Defeat the 3 Chaos fairies there and the scarecrow will be very good to you and your fairies the rest of the game. That was when my Worgot really got to shine. I think he beat all three Chaos fairies with only 5 shots! At the lower levels he is very useful... And there are some very nice goodies and another owl in the place beyond that - explore everything!

I went back to working on Zanzarah since I finally finished the horribly addcting Jewel Quest II. I loaded Witcher first, but I am sick with a cold and couldn't concentrate, so here I am. I launched the game and found myself in the swamps, so I assume I am headed back to the Shadow Realm. Problem is, I don't know where it is and how I got there the first time. I know that the first fairy beat me and maybe I was going out to up their levels, maybe I can figure it out after I pick the kids up, but right now I am lost.

The Shadow Realm is to the left when you rune into Dunmore. It's not particularly hard to find with none of the endless twists and turn on the other side of the swamp.

The Shadow Realm is past the big tree that you had the tournament in and got the air card, isn't it, to the left like Drac said? :sigh: I just love this game.

Hmmpf, now I know I was going to level up my fairies, they just aren't cutting it in this fight. To make it worse, during the last fight, I had a phone call, so died anyway. I think I am going to try the dual victory cheat, after nine months I think I want to be done with the game. I didn't start out well since I hadn't a clue and I don't think I will finish well.
It is a good game, but I don't think I am a good player of it, I want to get back to Fable. Meanwhile I am trying to make some Christmas ornaments that I used to make ages ago, less brain stress.

What fairies are you trying to fight? If they are the dark ones, use your light fairy - she will cut them down like sticks.

Drac, this is one of those fights where "his" fairies change all the time so I never do know what group I am going to get. I am not even sure if I have a light fairy, if so, she would be a a very low level. acornia, I am not very good with switching spells, I do need some higher ones for the fairies, but when I go to the merchants, they don't have any.

You can keep trying with the merchants when you go to them - if I'm remembering correctly you can save beforehand. In any case, it costs you money to spin again if you can't save, but the spells will change that you can buy. Also, each merchant mainly has specific spells - in other words, less likely to find great spells with the earlier merchants to which you have access. I always had the best luck using fire spells, except against fairies that fought with fire. But it really depends on how you play, and how often you switch out your fairies during the fight in strategy against how the computer switches your opponent's. Some of my fights were a riot, because the computer and I kept switching them and not fighting, poof, poof, poof.

I think I remember that fight. Your fairies really have to be leveled up and well equipped with spells for it. I'd say no one less that a level 40.
Nickie, that's pretty funny. I may have to go back to one of my games and try that and see if I can't get the game to do it for me too. What a hoot!

I am going to try to level up Sliiia to Level 20 if I can. Got her up to 16. Haven't had any luck catching any other fairies so far. Will try and get back to it this afternoon.

Bets, you will have to have some silver spheres to catch wild fairies. I think you find one in Endeva, get one in the fairy fight just behind the lady fairy by the stream and waterfall in the Fairy Garden and have to buy the rest from the seller in Tiralin.
Then it can be tricky to catch them. You have to take their health down to almost nothing. Sometimes one more shot will defeat them and then the fight is over! When it starts flashing, "Catch the fairy," start chasing it. If you have a sphere it will be flashing in the upper right of the screen.
