I see an analogy with what happened with TLJ and the sequel Dreamfall. I hope this sequel will be just as good as Dreamfall is. (I love open endings!)

Jenny100 - I hear you ,and I'm with you all the way - I adore Gus ! I think those two games will be tough to follow, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed - maybe they can do a seperate series of Gus's other cases.....oh- heavenly - then we 'd have the best of both worlds.
It's just great they are making games again , though !

Fully in real-time 3D -- that's what they're saying. I'll see if I can find out if anyone on the original team is working on the sequel.

Great news that microids is back, my favorite company! happydance
And I really loved Post Mortem!! yay
Personally I found Still Life not that good (as Post Mortem)
the special atmosphere (Film Noir!) had gone, :/ but
where there is life (Still Life 2!) there is hope.
Hope Gus will re-appear again, cause
Gus was special, whereas nice gamebabes are plenty!
(especially these last years! Almost not a game without a
gamebabe) Most distracting :/ and also hearts but
to much is overkill.

robert broccoli (This brocolli also votes for Gus, let that
be a sign to the developers ...)

This is great news. I loved both Post Mortem and Still Life. I'm excited that we will finally have a chance to discover who the killer is. I do hope we get to see Gus again too. Thanks for the news Becky!

omg omg omg omg OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!

/me runs around the living room jumping up and down

I've played Still-Life 3 times hoping that I'd "figure out" the ending. Hasn't happened yet.

Actually, in one of the playthroughs I almost thought Victoria got killed at the end. Thank goodness she's alive...and that's also why I jumped around going OMG.

I'm with those who want to see both Victoria and Gus again. In the same game or separate games wouldn't matter as long as the games were in the third person format/interface.
Oh gee, am I asking for too much here?

To love is to be happy with!

I've heard back from Microids as to whether any of the original Still Life team will be working on the sequel:

Quote:
To answer the GameBoomers question: yes! Catherine Peyrot, the producer of Still Life at Microids, is the key person to ensure the quality of the sequel game.

You're right. They're all over the place.
The time period Gus was from was more interesting too.
Looks like Gus has several fans in this thread.

Seriously, this just made my day. I spent months trying to figure out who the killer was, and I lost all hope they would ever make a sequal. Every once in awhile I play again though. I'm supprised they are sending her to Maine, in the last one she was going to LA. Great news!

I look forward to it as well but with reservations. If they use Starforce again I won't be buying it.

If the gore in this one is anything like the last one I don't know that I want to play the victum. I had trouble just getting hurt in the first one so I don't know if I could watch myself getting killed if that really is what befalls the vic in this game. Although knowing me as I do I am so curious to find out who Mr. X is that I will probably suck up the gore and play it anyway.
